Wanda was able to weasel her way out of trouble. She said she got lost in the woods and showed Weems her dead phone. Weems didn't seem to believe her, but she let it go and called the sheriff to let him know that she had returned. Then she was free to head back to her friends.
They all sat around a table, Wanda in between Enid and Wednesday, the former being a lot touchier than normal. Wanda explained everything that happened once she got separated from Enid and Wednesday. Fighting Red Cloak, learning it was Hilda, fighting Tyler, learning someone's working with him, getting shot in the head, escaping to her demiplane, talking to Phelros, learning about Arkno, and now waiting for her new spell to be made. Everyone was shocked and surprised to hear everything. Especially the others who they never told Tyler was the monster.
But while everyone sat in stunned silence, Wednesday pressed a tender kiss to Wanda's forehead where the bullet wound scarred. "I'm just glad you're okay."
Wanda smiled and kiss her cheek. "Me too."
"Me three," Enid added, arm linked with Wanda's and head on her shoulder.
"Do you really think you'll be able to get through to your sister?" Bianca asked. "I mean, a hundred years is a long time for hate and anger to fester."
Wanda looked at her across the table. "I have to. She's my little sister. I've accidentally caused her so much pain. It's my job to fix it. I don't care what I have to do. I will get through to her."
"But what if you can't?" Wednesday asked the hard question. "Are you going to be able to do what needs to be done?"
Wanda turned to her incredulously. "If you're asking if I'm going to kill my sister, then the answer is no."
"She wants to kill you, Wanda. If you can't convince her, it'll come down to you or her, and I'm sorry but I choose you."
"Well, it's a good thing it's not your choice then. Because if she dies, then I'm going with her this time." Wanda stood up and stormed away.
Everyone gave Wednesday a look she couldn't decipher. "What? We were all thinking it."
"You don't always have to say what you think, you know," Divina told her. "Clearly her sister is extremely important to her."
"And my girlfriend is extremely important to me." Wednesday turned to Enid. "You agree with me, don't you?"
Enid sighed. "I don't know. I do think we need to be ready if Wanda can't get through to her, but asking her to be the one to kill her sister might be going too far."
"Then I'll kill her."
"Dude!" Kent exclaimed at the bluntness.
"If worst comes to worst then I'll do it. Then Wanda will be safe."
"She might never forgive you if you do that," Ajax told her. "You ready for that consequence?"
Wednesday clenched her jaw and balled her hands into fists under the table. "She may hate me. But at least she'll be alive."
Yoko shook her head. "I don't think you should. Look, family's important."
Enid tilted her head to the side thinking of her mom. "Well..."
Yoko rolled her eyes. "Okay, let me rephrase. The right family is important. If you and your family or even just one member get along and are close, it's amazing. From what you guys have told us and what Wanda has said, her sister means the world to her. They were probably extremely close before everything happened. If you take that from her..." She shook her head. "All I'm saying is we all saw how depressed she was when she thought she was dead. Now she finds out her sister is alive, what do you think will happen if she dies again?"
