Iris walked into the Undercroft, she was missing the Slytherin Duo, as again they had spent more and more time apart in recent weeks. Ominis and Iris had both come to the conclusion that some separation was good for them, they needed to figure out who they were when they weren't a trio of friends. This had proven difficult to her since she had such strong emotions for both of them, even though being around Amit was helping.

The scene she walked into was Sebastian pacing in front of the couch Ominis was sitting on. Ominis was pinching the bridge of his nose, as he often did in frustration. Uh oh.....this wasn't the best energy to walk into and reminded her a little too much of 5th year.

"Hello, you two!" She greeted them cheerfully.

They both whipped their heads over and the same soft smile rose to both of their faces, her heart melted a little.

"I'm glad to hear your voice, my dear, we have been missing you". Ominis said in the refined, gentle voice that she loved so much.

"Abbott! Don't stay away so long, we, well I mean me really, are a bit of a mess without you", as Sebastian pulled her in for a hug.

"No Sebastian, you are quite right, we are a mess. I need her to balance out your crazy" Ominis teased.

"You liked my crazy last night, I wouldn't tease me too much or poor Abbott will have to hear way too many details" Sebastian chided.

Ominis raised his hands in surrender. Iris giggled, and went and sat next to Ominis. He gave her a side hug and didn't let go.

Sebastian seemed to be back to pacing after the short interlude of greetings.

"There is a camp of goblins but a couple miles from Anne's cottage!! I saw them when I visited her yesterday. Unacceptable!". Sebastian rambled.

"Like I said, tell the proper authorities. Plus, Goblins in and of themselves doesn't mean they are Ranrok sympathizers". Ominis said reasonably. "We know it wasn't Goblins who cursed Anne".

"Merlin!! I know, Ominis. It's still dangerous and not ok." Sebastian relied.

Iris decided to chime in, "what's your proposed plan, Sebastian?".

"You and me, we check it out and blast through them like we used too". He said, like it was obvious.

Ominis stiffened next to her, his gaze turned icy. She looked at Sebastian who didn't seem to notice.

"I don't do that anymore. I only did that as a means to end", Iris said softly. "Also, Ominis should be a part of it, if we ever decided to go".

Sebastian's eyes went wide, "No! I don't want him in danger!".

Both Ominis and Iris were tense now and glaring at him.

"You are such an arse" they both told him in unison.

Ominis stood up, "Iris, please forgive me, but I've had enough of this today. I think I am going to take my disabled, useless self, to my next class now".

Sebastian looked pained, "Ominis, that's not what I meant!". He started to follow after him but he got zapped by a spell cast from Ominis as he stormed off.

Sebastian went and sat next to her. He had his head in his hands. "I routinely fuck things up. Even with Anne, I am saying the wrong thing a lot. What's wrong with me?".

Iris began absentmindedly rubbing his shoulder that was closest to her. "Not wrong per se, passionate. Unfocused though. The things you are passionate about, you are single minded about and miss some of the more delicate details", she tried to explain.
