Sebastian POV

On one hand he was feeling good....which also made him feel like shit. He was lying next to his beautiful friend, who he had loved for years. The vacancy in the bed though was from his dearest friend, and lover, who was missing. Not only missing, but in a horrible situation. He had been able to be real with Iris, and that felt good. He had admitted out loud and to himself that he still loved Ominis. That felt good....but it also thought back intense hurt. He hated this lost feeling, this feeling of having no real plan forward. This was one of the precise reason he had left. He was older, wiser, more patient now. Maybe that would help him through this one. He tried to let his mind relax so he could rest.

When he awoke, he had his arms around Iris. Of course, that's why his dreams had been so wonderful. He looked down at her, she was asleep and for once, her face wasn't twisted in grief even when she slept. Of course, her nightgown was a little twisted up and he could see quite a lot of the side of one of her breasts. Merlin....he needed to get out of here. He quickly dressed and went downstairs.

Nox was awake, looked like she was prepping tea and breakfast for them. He decided to help out. He asked her questions about Ominis and Iris. He was always so curious. Nox answered his questions and then asked him one of her own.

"How long have you been in love with my brother?" She said it in a tone that Ominis often used, like they were all knowing.

"Forever...I have always loved him. How did you know?" Sebastian said.

She blushed. "Well, they were always telling me how unnatural and disgusting he was for bedding a mud blood. Your eyes light up when you talk about him, most of your questions are actually about him. I put two and two together".

Sebastian laughed. He definitely liked her.

"Why aren't you with him, if you love him? Is it because it's unnatural?". She looked nervous.

"What, uh no. It's NOT unnatural to love anyone you love Nox. You have to forget all the backwards shit they tell you. He is better off with Iris." He said. She looked like she was puzzling through what he said.

"Sebastian Sallow, I will tell him when he gets back to us to not fear you. You have strong dark magic, but there is no ill intent to it. You have such a strong warmth that it overpowers the dark".

He looked at her, confused. She explained that she could feel energy, both from magic and objects. She could read people's magic ability. She grabbed his hand and smiled.

Then he started crying. Crying like a fucking baby. He had never needed to hear anything more.

Ominis POV (trigger warning for domestic violence and reference sexual assault)

The "talk" with his Father was them beating him near to death. They had tried to read his mind to find out where Nox was. Thankfully, he had become extremely proficient at Occulmancy, he wouldn't let them in no matter how many spells they hit him with. It was actually his Mother, who saved him, from them killing him then and there. He knew it was for some other evil though. She reminded his Father that they needed him for other reasons, especially if Narcissa was missing to them still.

Then they transported him to somewhere away from the Manor. They left him in a cold, silent, empty room for over 24 hours. He hated the lack of any sensory stimulation. Since he couldn't see, him not having anything to hear, touch, smell, taste, was maddening. Finally his horrible brother came in to talk to him. Ominis wouldn't engage with him, so he got hit with Crucio. No memory could ever do it justice, every cell in his body responded with extreme pain and he felt like he was going to die.

Then his brother divulged the rest of their plan. He would marry a pure blood of their choosing, Ominis had already figured that one out. They had been telling him that his entire life. That's what his Father wanted, and to have Nox return and marry as well. Not happening.
