Iris honestly didn't even realize he was late. Once she earnestly got to studying anything, she was dialed in. It made her racing thoughts slow and organize themselves. It was really quite calming. To be honest, she also had already anticipated Sebastian would be of little help to her on this History of Magic essay anyway. She also believed that he was well aware of this too, cunning Slytherin! When he loudly plopped down across from her she stubbornly didn't even look up at him.

She greeted him with an impertinent, "Sallow". He sighed and said "I know, I'm sorry Abbott. I can be the worst sometimes".

Surprised that he apologized so readily, she looked up at him. WOW, why did he look so alluring right now? Her traitor of a heart began racing in her chest. His hair was always a little messy, in a charming way, now it was chaotic. His lips always drew her in for reasons not really known to her, but now they were swollen and made his mouth all she could look at. When she did finally look at his eyes, they were twinkling and mischievous. Merlin, he was just too much, she suddenly felt being this close to him was near impossible. He had a lovely smell coming off of him, it was musty and....erotic somehow?

She was staring, she realized suddenly she must look unhinged, let be honest- it's because she was. She was hopeless when it came to this man. She dialed into the scent wafting off of him a bit more and recognized the clean linen and clove that Ominous smelt like. Ahhhh, she blushed, she couldn't help it. She was embarrassed when she thought about how, she honestly couldn't really even guess, what they had been up too. She really needed to talk to Poppy or read up on sex already, she loathed being the last one to know anything.

"What I wouldn't give to hear your thoughts right now, from the blush on your cheeks, it must be quite interesting" Sebastian chided.

Iris's mind went suddenly blank on how to respond. He chuckled playfully, but let her off the hook, "don't be worried Abbott, I won't pry. I am in an exceedingly good mood. Now, can I be of help?".

Iris shook her head to stop the train of increasingly naughty thoughts in her head, "honestly I think the only thing you would be good for about now is snacks?". Sebastian laughed and agreed. He disappeared for a little while, which gave Iris time to get her damn body under control and stop imagining Sebastian tangled up with Ominis. Why was that kind of hot? She was hopeless.

When he returned, he had smuggled in all kinds of treats in his robes. She was elated and pleased he actually listened to her for once. They must have passed hours in the library laughing and joking about everything and anything. She was elated, this felt like when they would go on adventures together. Sebastian had begun asking about her family, about her likes and dislikes. He used to be fairly self centered so this was a new development. It made her want him even more, it made her want to be the reason he was so calm and talkative after an intimate encounter.

She dug her nails into her palm, her bad nervous habit. She loved Ominis, and if it was anyone but Sebastian, she would be loyal and completely happy for him. She was realizing she really did have zero control of her heart though. So she selfishly decided to enjoy these moments with Sebastian where he was charming and she was happy.

"Sebastian, I haven't been flying in a while, want to go for a quick flight?", Iris proposed.

"I will never turn down time outside Abbott", he quickly responded.

Since it was late, they had to sneak out, which was so typical of the two of them. They both jumped on their brooms and sped off into the night. They chased each other and raced, until they spotted a small ruin that they could explore. They settled down in the valley, and made their way to the ruin. There wasn't much to it, but provided them with an opportunity to roam side by side and talk. The time had somehow switched from playful and wild to somber. Iris sensed he had something he needed to talk about so she pushed a little.
