It was a few days before Iris saw Sebastian and Ominis, she faked being sick on Friday, she had a lot to think about. She thought about Amit's kiss, it was lovely. She didn't feel the same tingles she had before, but she did feel butterflies in her belly when she thought of him. They were subtle, but whenever she thought about him, she smiled.

That was enough for her, she was looking forward to Sunday when they were going to walk to Hogsmead together. She purposely avoided the boys, and even asked Natty to help. She was more than pleased to agree. She often told her she knew why she cared about the guys, but that she was in too deep for her own good. She was starting to see what she meant. On Saturday evening, Poppy came looking for her and found her with Natty. She told them that Ominis just wanted to know if she was ok. Poppy said it in a dreamy voice, every girl in their group had a small crush on him just because he was so wonderful. Natty told her that she could tell him she was ok, but to sit down and hear Iris' news first! She had a date!

The girls gossiped and giggled for hours and prepped for the date. Natty was acting quite proud of herself as she had been trying to engineer a way to get them together for awhile. She was all ready after the girls spent time picking out her outfit and telling her how to do her hair the next day. She was actually quite excited to spend the day with Amit.

They met at the gates and began walking. After a couple minutes of small talk, he reached over and grabbed her hand. Iris squeezed back and they kept walking, they relaxed a bit more. They were about halfway there and he pulled her off the path. He leaned her back against a tree and kissed her again. Iris was pleasantly surprised and pulled him in close. He explored her mouth with his tongue, more boldly than before. She moaned into the kiss and it made him kiss her more feverishly. He held her tightly around her waist, she felt so comforted in his hold. She pulled away and flirtatiously asked, "what was that for?"

He didn't miss a beat, he responded with, "being braver remember? I haven't been able to stop thinking about our last kiss and I knew that I wouldn't be able to focus unless I got to kiss you again". She grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him back in, this time letting herself enjoy it even more. Once they were both breathless and getting a little too excited, he pulled away and told her they should probably get going into town. She reached out and ran her fingers through his beautiful hair, his eyes rolled back a bit and he barely got out, "Iris, we really must get going, you are driving me crazy, I don't know how to handle it". She giggled and followed his direction. Amit was quite a bit more fun than she had suspected.

They spent hours together. They started with butter beers, then went to the book shop and shared some of their favorite books with each other. They got into a heated debate regarding whether or astrology or potions were more interesting. Both agreed herbology had its merits...but was the worst subject. It was obvious to anyone around them that they were quite enjoying each other's company. He let her fly them home and was a good sport even though some of her tricks obviously scared him. She had not laughed and smiled so much in quite some time!

He walked her to her dorm, since they were both Ravenclaws, their rooms weren't far from each other. She smiled at him wickedly and said, "you had better get going, or our prefect will catch you". He let out a small laugh.

"You are going to be a bad influence on me I think sweet Iris. I don't want to let you go, I want to stay here kissing you". He gave her a sweet kiss on the forehead. "You of course know that I am one of the Ravenclaw prefects".

She put her hand on his chest and purred, "maybe I should let you catch me, then". His eyes went wide, "yes, you are definitely a bad influence beautiful one". He leaned down and gave her a surprisingly gentle kiss despite the increasingly flirty banter. He told her that it was time for them to part ways, and that he would look forward to their next date.
