A few weeks passed, Ominis returned to work. He was determined to show the ministry and the other Aurors that he was back to fighting form. In addition, he also began making weekly visits either to the Gaunt Manor, or their lawyers. He was working on ensuring legally there was nothing that any of the dark magic, pureblood fanatical cousins he had, could make a claim. He was truly locked into ending the entire line of Gaunts. She stood behind him, but it was his fight.

The three of them had only had one other night together. It's like all of them knew it was too near perfect, too potentially addicting. Ominis and Sebastian only interacted when absolutely needed. Sebastian had insisted on going with every time he went to the actual Manor...Iris knew it was to piss them all off more than anything. He had such a mischievous streak.

Iris on the other hand, longed to spend more time with Sebastian. She had made it known to both of her...lovers was the best term she supposed...that she loved Sebastian too. She wanted to feel close to him, not just have sex with him. She decided to broach the subject with Ominis.

They had just had dinner, and were getting ready for bed. "Omni....would you be terribly mad if I spent a little bit of extra time with Sebastian while you are busy? You know I enjoy being with him too". She tried to sound light hearted.

He tensed and turned away from her. He undid his tie, and unbuttoned his shirt. He slid it off his shoulders and her breath hitched. Damn his beauty....so distracting. "If that's what you want my dear, I did used to get a lot of time with him, and I've had a lot of time with you. I suppose it's only fair." He sounded reluctant, but saying it was ok. She moved over to kneel in between his legs as he was sitting at the end of the bed.

"We are honest with each other, you and me". She touched his chest, and then hers. "Tell me what you are thinking".

He sighed. "I am jealous....of course. However I trust you and I really am ok with this....arrangement. I've benefitted too much to be a complete hypocrite now."

He ran his fingers through her hair, it soothed her. She knew he was still trying to distract her.

"Yes, you are jealous, but you know I won't sleep with him without you being there. What's really up?" She looked at him, she wasn't letting him get out of it.

"I'm afraid of him breaking your heart. It's not so hard when it's just sex....but when you truly love him, it hurts so badly, it's like your lungs forget how to breathe air", his voice broke. Of course...he wasn't wrong. She saw his heartbreak, she felt her own version. She was always just trying to see the good in people. She couldn't live her life in fear and regret.

"We don't know if we don't try." She said.

He nodded sadly. "Ok, if you are going to do it, I will tell him to take you out on a date. Don't bother doing it, if you aren't going to do it right".

She remembered that Sebastian told her that he loved Ominis, she saw him looking longingly at him, even when it wasn't sexual. She would try once, the rest was up to Sebastian.

"What about you? Do you want to open your heart to him?" She asked gently.

"NO, I'm sorry, I have zero interest in that" Ominis said in a way that she knew meant no discussion.

"Ok, thank you Omni, you are too good to me" she kissed him.

"No, you deserve everything, I am just doing my best". He pulled her into bed and then on top of him....

The next day, she received an owl from Sebastian, he wrote a time and place to meet that evening. Her heart swooned, she couldn't help it.

He took her to a beautiful muggle restaurant. Quite the surprise, most wizards never really ventured out of the wizard establishments. She made a comment about it, and he mentioned that he knew she grew up closer to muggles and figured she would enjoy it. She couldn't keep the silly smile off her face the entire time. He was a picture perfect date, he was dressed to kill, he was polite and held doors open for her and pulled out chairs.
