She was glad to be home, she spent a few days making the little flat more homely, without adding things to block Ominis' pathways. She was getting bored though, she could only be at home for so long. She thought back to what Samantha was saying about dark wizards gathering. She decided to do some investigating of her own. She went to several shops in London, with the ruse of gathering supplies. Sure enough, there were a few times that she could distinctly tell she was being tracked. They didn't seem to have any known affiliation that she could recognize. Once she knew one of them was alone, she wandered farther off so he would follow her. Once she got behind a building, and she knew there wouldn't be witnesses, she turned and cast "Leviosa" on him. While he was caught in the air, she questioned him.

"Who are you, why are you following me?"

He laughed and didn't answer. So she hit him with a "confringo", followed by "glacius". He was now frozen, so she approached him to look for clues. She looked at his face, he now seemed familiar to her. He saw a family crest on a ring on his finger. The Abbott crest. Her blood turned icy in her veins. She released the charm and then levitated him again.

"I know you! I can't recall your name. Why are you tracking your own family?".

"Why, my sweet niece, you don't recall your Uncle?". He sneered.

She dropped him in her shock, but didn't lower her wand. "Uncle!? Explain yourself".

"Such a spoiled brat. Always have been, of course you have been hiding a power that could make our family proud. You could put us back on the map with the pure blood families. Instead, you break my brother's heart, and stay away for years! With barely any word to even your mother. When you were hanging around with the heir of Slytherin, we thought maybe things were progressing the right way. Now, he is a fucking Auror, and you both are betraying your pure roots. This will not do. You are both naive enough to think we would just let you spit in our face?! Your day is coming".

Then he vanished. From what little she remembered, this must be the brother that her Father referred to as " a coward". Her father was one of the few mild and educated members of the now, thuggish Abbott clan. He worked at a minor ministry job, but he had alluded to the more extremist wing of the family, they were actually the larger component of the Abbott family. Great.

She knew she needed to bring this up to Ominis and Natty. She headed straight to the Ministry and the Auror office. She found him pouring over some reports that were in braille. She smiled at how serious he looked.

"Omni, I have some information for you and probably your superior officer". Iris said.

The blood drained from his face. "Are you ok? What happened?". He had his hands on her face, to read her expression.

"Let's go, I'm ok, just want this reported". She said. He brought her to Auror Morgan, who listened intently.

"Ok, we have been expecting this to happen. I told Ominis here, it's important that you declare yourself on a side. The other side is mounting, I believe it's because of the power balance shifting".

She looked at Ominis incredulously, "Ominis here did not tell me".

He sighed, "you were just getting back, and you always dive headfirst into danger. I wanted you to be able to decide your next move, not have it decided for you".

She considered this for a moment. It tracked as a move he would make. Still irritating.

"Auror Morgan, what power balance is shifting?".

He chuckled. "Well, the Keeper of course, you. And the heir of Slytherin, both not clearly aligned with a side. Well, Ominis here appears to have aligned, but I doubt his fanatical father will see it that way".
