Recovery

Sebastian POV

The scene at the hospital was madness. It took several healers working on Ominis to get him stabilized. Sebastian had to use every ounce of his strength to hold Iris back. When they finally got his pulse steady and his wounds healed, they moved him to a room. Iris and Sebastian sat by his bedside for 3 days. Nox and Natty would come and go, bringing things for the two of them. Sometimes she would make him go get rest, she refused any herself. Even though he wasn't awake yet, Ominis hand was always reaching out towards her. The bind these two had transcendent. He would never, ever get in the way of this, even if it was his deepest desire.

To see his Ominis in that state, when they got to where the bastards were holding him....he would never, not be tormented by it. The look of him half dead, and then he had to cast "Crucio" at him....that memory was as bad as when Anne passed away. He would do anything to try and help, he would be devoted to this couple for the rest of his life.

He looked at Ominis' slowly healing, still beautiful, face. He loved that face, he loved this man. He looked over to Iris, he loved her very much, he had completely fallen for her during the time Ominis was gone. She was everything a good person should be. She was rare, a beauty both inside and out. Sleeping next to her had brought him more wonderful nights than he had had in years. He was glad, and even thankful that Iris and Ominis got to experience true love with each other. He would find a way to persevere.

Iris was sleeping in her chair, her arm outstretched to him. Sebastian couldn't help himself, he reached over and brushed some of Ominis' long, blonde hair out of his face and tucked it behind his ear. He briefly let himself cup the side of his face. As he was sitting back down, he heard Ominis voice.

"Where am I? I know it's not that damn place because I hear sounds." His voice was course and scratchy. Sebastian leeped up and gave him a glass of water.

"Welcome back mate, you are in the hospital. Iris is right next to you. I am going to wake her now." Sebastian said, joy brimming from him.

"Seb...Sebastian?" Ominis said, with a confused voice.

"Shhhh, save the talking for your girl". Sebastian woke her up and she began kissing him all over and telling him how much she missed him. Ominis had tears of joy in his eyes....and Sebastian decided to slip out of the room. Nat had his wand/cane thing, that Sebastian thought looked badass. He would go get it so he didn't have to keep seeing darkness. His body got shivers again as he thought of the no light, no sound that he experienced.

He came back about an hour later, and when he walked in, they were still in each others arms. He smiled, and started to turn to leave. Iris saw him though, and said "Sebastian, don't leave. Come here".

He did as he was told and walked over. Ominis let go of Iris, and held his hand out, to shake it as a gesture of good will. Sebastian took his hand immediately, and then couldn't help himself, pulled in Ominis for a hug. Iris wrapped her arms around them both, and they stayed like that for....well, a long time. The two guys pretended they weren't crying of course, so when they all separated, they dried the tears.

"Iris told me all you did to help. I appreciate it, Sebastian". Ominis said.

"Like she said, I owed her. I hate your fucking family anyway. Well, not Nox, but she doesn't count. She is brilliant!" Sebastian's tone was animated and light hearted now. No one needed more sadness at this point.

Ominis chuckled, "yes, she is, we are getting close. I found out that my family had "obliviated" most of my good memories of her as child. Just to be cruel. They must have done that to her as well".

Then Ominis got a panicked look on his face and he looked like he was going to jump out of bed. "She isn't here is she? Marvelo and my Father will find her, they are looking for her every moment, of every day".
