Proposal

They used Floo Flames to return back to their place, Natty came with them to see it this time. Iris suspected she was also coming to make sure they were ok after the Sebastian bomb. She was rattled, she didn't know why. She knew he was alive, and somewhere. To hear that he was flirting around and the talk of the school stung. Why? She was in love with her soulmate. She shouldn't care, she should only care he was safe.

"Wow, you two!! This place is quite something!! Was Professor Fig from old wizard money? This place would be an outrageous price if you were to try and but it today", Natty said.

Iris glared at her, she hadn't wanted Ominis to know that....yet. Natty raised her eyebrows, kind of getting the hint.

Natty sat down and looked that them both, "want to talk about it? Not quite what I expected, I wonder...."

They both said "NO", in unison.

A proud, yet quiet voice spoke up "are you three talking about me?".

Iris could see Nox actually looked worried. She walked over to her and grabbed her hand, led her gently into the room. "No, we are talking about an old friend".

"An old friend? You both sounded so upset?". She observed, then she scanned the room and noticed Natty.

"I've heard about you! You are my brother's partner, my family says you are scum?". Nox said, being rude and maybe not knowing it. It was hard to be sure. She knew Natty would set her straight.

Instead Natty was just staring at her, and said nothing.

Ominis then piped up, "For Merlin's sake, you can't just parrot back every insane thing they have said to you. Didn't they reach you better in school? Natsai, this is my brat sister, Nox".

Natty stood and reached out for her hand, she had that sweet, friendly smile on her face that everyone loved, as she held her hand in greeting.

Nox was blushing at Ominis chastising her. "Nice to meet you, I apologize Natsai". She looked at her brother. "Why would the school correct me? I had a couple girls who were also from pure blood families as companions, no one else would talk to me. My teachers mostly ignored me".

Natty sighed, "this was the way a lot of Hogwarts treated Ominis too, even me. Sounds like you have had a rough time of it. If you ever need someone to talk to beside your judgy brother and Iris, let me know". Iris could see Natty was blushing, she had no idea why!

" My brother told me you were kind, he didn't tell me how strong you are. I can sense your strength, and resolve", Nox said confidently.

Natty seems shocked. "You can tell that? How?

"I've always been able to sense energies", Nox said, she shrugged. They were still holding hands.

Ominis was watching the exchange, and then sat up straight. "Natsai!! I think it's time you should be going!". He looked irritated and upset. As she was heading to the fire place, Iris heard him whisper in his ear, "she is an angel". Ominis turned beet red. Iris was going to have to ask him about all of that later.

When they went to bed, they were both quiet, both of their minds must be racing.

Iris had to ask, she wanted to know so she could comfort him. Also, because she was selfish and felt inadequate.

"Omni, do you still miss Sebastian, terribly? Do you still want to be with him?". It came out barely above a whisper. She didn't know if she could take the answer.

"My love, I was just going to ask you if you missed him, I am worried about you. Don't worry about me" Ominis said as he played with her hair.

"Ominis, it's ok. He was your first love, the love of your life, your love was so strong."
