SATURDAY, June 14
It was the weekend and Katsuki and Izuku were asked by Ochaco to go with her and Todoroki to visit Recovery Girl for her checkup. Izuku was behind in assignments, but this was important to their pack. Luckily for Ochaco, the doctor that did her checkup last time came back to UA campus to check on his two patients.
"Dr. Kazemaki, thank you for making a house call," Recovery Girl said. "The patients are ready, If you like to get started. Do you have the results of the blood test?"
"I sure do," Dr. Kazemaki answered, holding up a sealed envelope.
During the last doctor visit, Ochaco had asked him if he could determine the paternity of the fetus, so he took blood samples from Ochaco and Shouto (who was with her at the time). After that, the doctor was able to send the blood samples to a lab for analysis. When Dr. Kazemaki arrived at Ochaco's room, he noticed Shouto standing next to her while Katsuki was sitting down on the other examination table with Izuku. In between the two beds was the ultrasound machine.
"Hello again, children. Are you ready for the results?" he asked.
"Yes!" Ochaco eagerly replied.
"Yup," Shouto confirmed.
"Let's get this over with," Katsuki grumbled. Izuku massaged his shoulders for reassurance.
Dr. Kazemaki ripped open the envelope and studied the results, humming to himself.
Katsuki couldn't handle the anticipation. "Well, old man? Who knocked up Pink Cheeks first?!"
"Kacchan! Don't be rude!"
"Interesting. The mother has Type B, and the fetus has Type O blood type," Dr. Kazemaki mumbled, ignoring Katsuki's outburst and rubbed his chin in thought.
Katsuki gasped. "My blood is Type A."
"And Shouto has Type O!" Ochaco exclaimed. "He's the father?!"
"The results say so. Congratulations, Todoroki," the doctor said, shaking the dumbstruck boy's hand.
Shouto stared at the doctor wide-eyed. "I'm- I'm gonna be a dad?!" His mouth wavered, then suddenly burst into tears. His distant dream of becoming a father had come true so suddenly and unexpectedly, that he could barely handle the news.
Ochaco jumped on Shouto and gave him multiple kisses. "We're gonna have a kid together, Shouto!"
Izuku came over and embraced the two tightly. "Todoroki! I'm so happy for you! We're gonna be dads together! And congratulations, Ochaco! You're going to be such a great mom!"
Katsuki came over, hesitant to break up the group hug, when Shouto's hand reached out to Katsuki and pulled him into the pack. "Congrats, Icy Hot. I'm glad I don't have to worry about raising a fourth kid. You'll have to deal with your own brat."
"T- Thanks, Bakugou," Shouto sniffed. "That's the nicest thing you've said to me."
Katsuki snorted.
After the emotional group huddle, it was time to check on their pups' growth. Ochaco was first, of course; so the doctor prepped the ultrasound while Ochaco and Katsuki got dressed in hospital gowns and laid down. Dr. Kazemaki asked several questions until he slid the transducer on Ochaco's belly, then searched for the fetus.
"Hmm...interesting," the doctor said.
"W- What's wrong?" Ochaco nervously asked.
"There are two heartbeats. You're going to have twins," Dr. Kazemaki announced, pointing at the two thumping spots on the screen.
