In the building..

Third Person's POV

Kana and Sakura stood side by side in the elevator. As the elevator doors slid open, revealing the top floor, they exchanged a quick glance, their eyes sparkling.

The hallway stretched before them, silent and empty. The soft hum of the elevator faded into the distance as the doors closed behind them. They stepped out cautiously, their footsteps muffled by the plush carpet beneath them. The air was thick with the scent of polished wood and expensive cologne, a sharp contrast to the adrenaline rushing through their veins.

"Wow," Sakura whispered, her voice barely audible as she took in the grandeur of the place. "It's so... quiet."

Kana nodded, her gaze darting around the corridor. "Yeah, too quiet. But that's good, right? No one's around to catch us."

They moved forward, their senses heightened, aware of every creak and shift in the building. The walls were adorned with abstract art, the kind that adults always seemed to admire, but which made little sense to them. The lighting was subdued, casting long shadows that made the place feel even more deserted.

Finally, they reached a pair of ornate double doors at the end of the corridor. Kana pressed her ear against one of them, straining to hear any signs of life. Nothing. She exchanged another look with Sakura, who gave her an encouraging nod.

"Let's do it," Kana whispered, reaching for the door handle.

As they slipped inside, they were greeted by a sprawling, luxurious office. The walls were lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a breathtaking view of the city below. In the center, a massive desk dominated the space, its surface immaculate, save for a single, neatly stacked pile of papers.

"Izana was supposed to be here, according to his location previously. He must have left the room earlier," Kana pointed out, her eyes filled with wonder as she approached the desk. "Damn, everything is fancy. How much money this bastard made?"

Sakura followed her, her eyes scanning the room. "Kana-chan, isn't this enough? We should leave now.."

"Huh? We're staying here."

"That's too dangerous! How can we leave later if we stay too long?"

"We can just hide then put on the disguise back when we return home."

"But—" Sakura opened her mouth to protest further, but before she could, a sound from the hallway made her freeze. Her words caught in her throat as she heard the muffled voices of men approaching.

Kana’s face went pale, and for a moment, the two girls stared at each other, their argument forgotten. Panic flickered in Sakura’s eyes, and Kana, despite her stubborn resolve, felt her heartbeat increasing.

As the men’s voices grew louder outside the office, Kana’s survival instincts kicked in. Without hesitation, she grabbed Sakura’s hand and pulled her toward the massive table. “Come on!” she whispered urgently.
