Meanwhile,
Back to Izana's place..

As Izana had promised Kana, he went all out, bringing back an extravagant spread of high-end sushi. Plates upon plates of beautifully arranged nigiri, sashimi, and rolls filled the table, the rich aroma making mouths water.

The adults, except for Hanae, Y/n, and Shion, were drinking to their heart's content, laughter filling the house. Shion, meanwhile, was in the bedroom with Y/n, keeping her company. She was still sitting up in bed, too dizzy to stand, and Shion took it upon himself to entertain her with stories and complaints about the others.

Out in the living room, Hanae was gently coaxing Keitaro as she introduced him to Kana. The little boy clung to her leg, shyly peeking at the older girl.

"Come on, Kei. Don't be shy," Hanae encouraged with a warm smile. "Say hi to Kana." Keitaro hesitated, shifting nervously before managing a small, "Hi..."

Hanae knelt beside him. "What do we say when we make a new friend?"

Keitaro took a deep breath, summoning his courage. "M-My name is Keitaro. You can call me Kei... C-Can we be friends?" With a tiny, trembling hand, he extended it toward Kana.

The preteen instinctively flinched, recoiling slightly. Her body tensed as she stared at the offered hand, hesitation flickering in her eyes. But after a brief pause, she let out a quiet breath and reached forward, clasping his hand in hers.

The instant their hands met, Keitaro's face lit up like the sun. Without warning, he launched himself at Kana, wrapping his arms around her in an excited hug. Kana stiffened in surprise.

"We're friends! Mama, I have a new friend!" Keitaro exclaimed, beaming at Hanae. Hanae clapped her hands together. "Yep! Good job, Kei. Now you and Kana are good friends."

Keitaro turned back to Kana, his bright, innocent eyes searching hers. "Friends?" Kana was silent, her gaze flickering away as if she was contemplating something. But then, with a slow and reluctant nod, she gave her answer.

"Friends," she murmured.

Hanae watched the interaction closely. While Keitaro was overjoyed, practically bouncing in excitement, Kana's body language remained guarded-her posture stiff, her hands clenched at her sides.

The mother took note of it but chose not to comment, instead smiling and patting Keitaro's head. "See? That wasn't so hard, right?"

Kana didn't respond. She didn't know why, but the little boy made her feel uneasy.. ever since she witnessed how close he was with Izana.

"You little fuck! That's mine!" Kanji swung a punch toward Ran, but Yasuhiro grabbed his arm just in time, holding him back. Ran, completely unfazed, cackled as he popped another stolen sushi into his mouth. "Too slow, old man."

Rindou sighed, shaking his head in defeat before taking another sip of his drink. Kakucho and Izana, meanwhile, didn't even acknowledge the chaos, far too accustomed to it to care.
