A few weeks later...

Kana's eyes sparkled as she looked around, utterly captivated by the colors, the music, and the sheer magic of Tokyo Disneyland. Y/n barely had time to call out before her daughter bolted forward.

"Kana, wait-!"

The girl was already weaving through the crowd with uncontainable excitement. Y/n let out a sigh, hands on her hips, watching her daughter's hair bounce through the crowd. "That girl..." she muttered, shaking her head.

Manjiro approached from the side, wearing dark sunglasses and a casual jacket. He reached out and caught Kana by the back of her shirt, halting her before she disappeared too far ahead.

"Hey, stay close."

Kana pouted, but the glint of affection in her uncle's eyes softened her protest. Y/n felt arms slip around her waist from behind, pulling her gently into an embrace. Izana rested his chin on her shoulder, the scent of his cologne mixing with the sweetness of popcorn in the air.

"You're smiling," he murmured against her ear. Y/n turned her head slightly, chuckling. He was wearing sunglasses too, and she noticed a bit of makeup on his face.

"Thank you for bringing Kana here."

Izana pressed a kiss to her cheek, smiling warmly. "This retreat's for you too."

Her smile faded a little. "Is this really okay? For you and Manjiro to be out here like this?"

Izana brushed it off with a wave of his hand. "Relax. My men are all around the place. You just can't see them. Besides," he added with a smirk, "it's too crowded for anyone to get close to us anyway."

Y/n didn't argue. Her gaze drifted back to Manjiro, standing a few steps away, still holding Kana's shirt as she tugged forward. Despite his expressionless face, there was a warmth in his eyes. She smiled to herself.

It will be okay, she told herself.

"Come on, stop flirting! Let me go play already!!" Kana shouted, tugging at Manjiro's grip. Her parents burst out laughing as they caught up to them. Izana's hand rested on Y/n's hip, a grin curving at his lips. "Alright, alright, we're coming, inday."

Kana huffed, crossing her arms. "You're soooo slow."

"Maybe if you stopped running off, we wouldn't be," Y/n teased.

Izana looked around the park, his eyes landing on the towering roller coaster in the distance. "So," he asked, crouching slightly to Kana's height, "which one should we try first?"

"That one!" Kana pointed straight at the massive ride that looped high into the sky, the screams of riders echoing through the air.

Izana blinked, then shook his head. "Yeah, no."

Kana's jaw dropped. "What?! Why not?!"

"We should save the best for last," Izana reasoned, smirking. "You don't start with dessert before dinner, right?"
