Aria POV
Layla and me were in the living room drawing and coloring in our coloring books. I laid on my stomach on the floor of the living room coloring quietly while swaying my feet back and forth in the air.
I felt comfortable and calm drawing and coloring with Layla but I could tell Layla was very energetic today and wasn't really trying to color. "Aria let's go for a walk." She suggested grabbing my hand to go with her.
"Come on please." She begged pleadingly. "B-but w-what a-about A-Aaron and d-da-..." she cut me off before I could finish my sentence. "It's okay we're just going on a walk they're too busy for us anyway." She said while guiding me with her.
She practically dragged me out through the back door to the backyard so we could go walk along the pathway. "B-but w-we s-should t-tell t-them." I complained worriedly.
"It's okay we'll be back before they even notice." She assured me. "O-okay." I agreed. I followed beside her along the long pathway of Caleb's backyard.
It was a beautiful garden of gorgeous and lovely flowers everywhere along the pathway as we walked. I quickly grew excited and happy cause we went on this walk.
I touched and smelt every flower I could reach and touch with my hand. There were so many colors and different kinds of flowers. There were even flowers I never seen before especially one particular flower that I seen a lot of.
They were a dark red they almost resembled a rose but they were far too big to be a rose. Their petals were in a perfect curved shape with a pointy tip.
The petals went from huge on the outside to medium and smaller towards the middle. It was so beautiful and eye catching that I couldn't seem to keep my eyes off of them.
The other flowers were beautiful but none of them could compete with this beautiful flower. It was absolutely gorgeous and mesmerizing to look at. I was so curious about this flower it was completely consuming my mind.
"Aria look!" Layla exclaimed pointing towards a beautiful waterfall. I rushed over to her as my eyes widened in shock and excitement. "Oh my god it's so pretty." Layla exclaimed excitedly.
The water was so clear and warm to the touch. Layla scooped up some of the water splashing it onto me catching me off guard. "L-Layla!" I exclaimed shocked.
She laughed loudly at me. "Come on let's go for a swim." She suggested. I nodded my head no quickly walking away from the water because I didn't know how to swim.
"N-no L-Layla l-let's g-go b-back n-now." I told her worriedly as I noticed it was getting dark outside. "Oh don't be a party pooper Aria let's go swimming." She encouraged defiantly.
"N-no I-it's g-getting l-late." I refused once more. "Aria." She complained. "C-come o-on L-Layla w-we're g-gonna g-get I-in t-trouble." I encouraged her to leave before Caleb and Aaron found out we left.
"You don't want to explore some more?" She asked me. I groaned in annoyance cause I really did want to explore more but I was afraid Caleb and Aaron would get upset or worried about us being gone.
"F-fine j-just a f-few m-more m-minutes t-tho." I told her firmly. "Deal." She smiled happily. We walked up the rocks of the small waterfall that had another pathway of beautiful blossom trees along the entire walkway.
It looked almost heavenly I didn't even know Caleb had all of this back here I always wanted to come back here because I knew he had a huge backyard cause his house was a mansion.
I just never had the courage to go until now. Layla was the type of friend I needed she got me out of my comfort zone even tho she did get out of hand sometimes but it was always awesome and fun with her.
