Aria POV
We arrived back home from the hospital. Caleb carried me upstairs to our bedroom while Lydia and Sammy watched baby Ace for us.

He sat me down on our bed carefully.
"Relax, I'm just gonna go get the shower ready for you," he told me so I wouldn't panic about him leaving me. After giving birth to our son, I just wanted to be in Caleb's arms.

I just wanted to be close to him and our son constantly. It was more like a need than a want. I needed them near me at all times, or I felt sick and depressed.

I watched him walk around the room after he turned on the shower, grabbing a clean towel and some clothes for both of us.

"You ready, princess?" he asked as he walked over to me.

"Mm-hmm," I nodded softly as he helped me stand on my feet carefully.

I was still weak, but getting better the more I rested. I was lucky to have Caleb by my side the whole time. I felt a little dizzy as I walked to the bathroom, and it felt so sore between my legs.

He helped me step into the shower. I winced softly, gripping his shirt firmly.
"D-Daddy," I whimpered quietly.

"I know, princess. I'm here," he comforted me as he quickly got undressed to get in the shower with me. He stepped right behind me, allowing me to lean half my body weight against him.

He grabbed the washcloth, gently scrubbing my body while I relaxed against him. I felt a lot better since I left the hospital, other than being sore between my legs and feeling dizzy here and there.

Caleb was a huge help, but I couldn't stand it when he left my side. I just wanted to burst into tears—even right now. He was literally scrubbing my body for me, but I still felt like sobbing my eyes out.

I was so happy our baby boy was healthy and strong. We had put him to sleep in his room, and Lydia and Sammy offered to watch him so Caleb could take care of me while I got my strength back.

I felt him gently kiss my cheek as he turned me around so I was facing him.
"You're doing so good, baby," he praised softly.

He began to scrub my hair, massaging his fingers through my scalp and tilting my head back a bit so I was looking up at him. His eyes found mine, causing us both to smile softly.

He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to my lips.
"You're so precious and strong for me, princess," he whispered.

His words were so sweet and meaningful that I couldn't help but cry.

I felt so weak, yet all he's been doing since I gave birth to our baby is telling me—and showing me—how strong I am.

I swallowed back the tears threatening to fall, not wanting to make him worried. He's been doing so much for me. I hope he knows how grateful I am.

Once he finished rinsing out my hair, he quickly washed his own before shutting off the shower. He stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist.

He grabbed my towel, holding it open for me before wrapping it securely around my body. He pulled me into him, and I rested my head against him while he carefully dried me off.

"Come on, beautiful," he said, guiding me into our bedroom, where our clothes for bed were already laid out.

"Lay down, baby," he instructed.

I carefully laid back on the bed while he grabbed my lotion from the counter and began rubbing it all over my body.

He gently massaged the lotion into my skin—from my neck, to my chest, stomach, legs, and feet—then did the same to my back once I turned onto my stomach.
