Chapter 49. Little assistant

Aria POV
I woke up extra early today so I could get ready for my first day as Caleb's assistant. I was so excited and happy cause he was allowing me to work for him.

I didn't get any good sleep last night but I had enough energy to be his assistant today so I'm okay. Caleb was up getting dressed in our closet while I was sitting on our bed struggling to put on these stupid heels on.

I really wanted to wear them but I couldn't get the zipper in the back of them to close. It was so hard to pull the zipper upward it was getting on my nerves.

"You ready princess?" Caleb asked as he walked out of our closet. "T-These s-stupid h-heels w-won't z-zip u-up." I complained annoyed, groaning in frustration.

"Relax princess I'll help you." He crouched down before me zipping up both my heels effortlessly without any issues. I stood up happy that he managed to zip them both up.

"T-Thank y-you d-daddy." I thanked him with a bright smile on my face. "Your welcome princess." He pecked my lips lightly. "N-Now I-I'm r-ready t-to g-go." I grabbed his hand so we could leave.

"You look beautiful princess." He complimented me. "Y-You l-look h-handsome t-too d-daddy." I complimented him back. I stood up on my toes kissing him right beneath his chin gently.

We walked down the stairs to the front door to his car. He helped me get into the car and closed my door for me before he got into the drivers side and began to drive towards his office.

Aaron helped me figure out what Caleb would need me to assist him with while he was busy in a meeting. I wasn't sure when he was done in his meeting but I finished marking sure each file he had to go through after the meeting was corrected.

I made sure his desk and all the files he needed to work on were already on his desk ready for him to work on. I was currently in the break room fixing him a cup of hot coffee so by the time he finished his meeting it was warm enough for him to drink.

I put a top on the coffee and made my way back to Caleb's office. These heels were killing me, my feet hurt so badly i wanted to take them off so badly but I didn't want to look unprofessional.

I was grateful enough that Caleb was allowing me to work for him I didn't want to embarrass him or myself. I walked into his office and set his cup of coffee down on his desk neatly.

I walked out of his office back to my little desk that I decorated just for myself. I was so happy when Caleb and Aaron showed me my desk. It was right outside of Caleb's office so I was happy I just hated because he had to leave for a meeting.

I missed seeing him but I know his meetings are important and I didn't want to interrupt him or stop him from doing what he needed. I sat at my desk so I could finish checking through the other files before I gave them to Caleb to sign off on.

I noticed each file I opened had a different amount of money going straight to Caleb's account. It wasn't small numbers either. Each one either had six digits, ten digits, I even saw one of the files have thirteen digits.

Yes, thirteen digits total I counted each number like five times cause I thought I was going crazy. One thing for sure Caleb was definitely right about taking care of me and our baby financially.
