Caleb POV
I turned over onto my side in my sleep subconsciously reaching with my arm to pull Aria closer to me but instead I felt emptiness and air.
"Princess." I called for her in my sleep. "Baby come here I miss you." I mumbled sleepily for her but got no response back just silence. I finally opened my eyes looking over at her side of the bed but found it empty.
She was gone I quickly grew worried cause she wasn't in the bed with me. I got up from the bed quickly rushing out of the bedroom into the hallway to find her.
I noticed down the hall the light to her playroom was on. I quickly made my way over to her playroom hoping she was in there. I opened her door slowly noticing her sitting on the floor playing with her stuffed animals.
I stood silent staring confused on why she was up so late playing right now. I could have sworn she fell asleep before I did when we got in the bed together.
"Princess, what are you doing up so late?" I asked causing her to flinch and yelp frighteningly at the sound of my voice. "Y-You s-scared m-me!" She said annoyed once she realized it was me.
"Sorry beautiful I didn't mean to scare you." I apologized to her feeling guilty for scaring her so badly. "Why are you up so late little one?" I asked once more.
She turned around and continued playing with her stuffed animals completely ignoring my question. "Aria I'm talking to you." I made obvious since she seemed to not notice that I asked her a question.
I didn't know what was her issue it was two in the fucking morning and she was up playing and only god knows how long she's been up for. "L-Leave m-me a-alone I-I'm p-playing." She said in a harsh annoyed tone.
"Baby it's 2:45 in the morning you can play later on today but right now you need to go to bed." I responded in a slight frustrated tone. "I-I'm n-not g-going t-to b-bed l-leave m-me a-alone." She told me without sparing me a single glance.
She was obviously in a bratty mood and I didn't like it one bit. She was tired but fighting her sleep. I came up behind her and picked her up to carry her back to our bedroom since she wouldn't listen to me.
She groaned whining, kicking her feet in annoyance cause I picked her up. "N-No! L-Let m-me g-go." She whined angrily as she thrashed around to get down from my arms.
"D-Daddy! L-Let m-me g-go!" She demanded angrily. "No we need to go to bed princess." I told her sternly. "I d-don't w-wanna g-go t-to b-bed." She whined out in frustration.
I carried her into our bedroom despite her kicking her feet and pushing me to get down from my arms. "I d-don't w-want t-to s-sleep!" She yelled angrily.
"You have to, we talked about this you need sleep Aria quit being a stubborn brat and go to bed!" I said more demandingly and sternly without raising my voice cause I didn't wanna scare her.
I placed her onto the bed she quickly sat up and crawled towards the edge of the bed to get down. I grabbed her by her ankles pulling her right back up making her lay back on the bed.
"I d-don't n-need s-sleep." She whined angrily. "Yes you do, if your not sleepy our baby needs you to be well rested at least." I replied. "N-No!" She screamed in a whining tone.
"Go to bed Aria I'm not gonna tell you again." She groaned in annoyance kicking her feet against the bed out of frustration. "Quit doing that Aria it's time for bed!" I said frustrated with her.
"N-NO!" She screamed and yelled so angrily I was caught off guard when I felt her slap me so hard in the face. I stumbled back slightly from her harsh smack completely caught off guard.
