Caleb POV
Today was Arias birthday she was turning nineteen today. I planned her entire birthday out but we weren't just celebrating her nineteenth birthday today. I wanted to celebrate all her birthdays from her first to her nineteenth.
I knew her parents never celebrated her birthday since she was born so I wanted to celebrate all her birthdays that they never celebrated for her. She was very upset today and it seemed like she forgot today was her birthday today or she just didn't want to remember what today was.
I wasn't sure what she was doing or thinking but I knew today was her special day and I wanted everything to be perfect.
I wasn't inviting anyone other than Aaron and Layla to her surprise birthday party because I knew she wasn't used to big crowds. I didn't want to make her more uncomfortable on her special day.
Aaron and Layla were helping me set up her surprise in the living room. I got her so many gifts I didn't know where to put them all. Layla was upstairs with her in the playroom keeping her company and distracted from coming downstairs.
"Nineteen birthday cakes who's going to eat all of that?" Aaron asked. I got her nineteen birthday cakes for each of her birthdays.
I got each cake a different size her first cake was the smallest and then got bigger, her nineteenth birthday cake was the biggest from them all. "Don't worry about it we're all going to enjoy a slice of each cake." I assured him.
"Obviously I'm going to eat a slice of each one but who's going to eat the rest we can't just waste all of the cakes." He reasoned. "We'll give it away to someone or something can you just shut up about it and get back to work." I demanded annoyed.
"Alright damn so impatient." He complained. I ignored him and placed the rest of her gifts on the floor in the corner neatly. She had over a hundred gift and I'm being dead serious over a hundred gifts.
I was spoiling the shit out of her and I fucking loved it. I bought her every purse, coloring book, all the clothes she could ask for. I even bought her jewelry and shoes.
Her gifts costed me a fortune but I didn't care if i had to spend my last on her I would do it in a heartbeat because she deserved any and everything her heart desires. I got her one special gift that I knew she was going to love.
But I wanted to give her this gift after her surprise because I know it's going to be very special to her. "I'm going to check on the girls." I told Aaron before I headed towards the stairs. "Alright." I headed upstairs towards her playroom.
I opened the door to her playroom Layla and her were playing quietly together but I could tell Aria wasn't in the best mood to play. She looked bored and out of it. She kept zoning out as if her mind was on something else.
Layla waved at me quietly once she noticed me and then got up walking over to me while Aria zoned out completely not even noticing Layla walking away. "Something is on her mind I tried to figure out what's bothering her but she doesn't wanna talk about it."
Layla whispered to me concerned and worried for Aria. "Don't worry I'll make her feel better you can go downstairs and wait for us with Aaron." I told her softly. "Okay I can't wait." She said excitedly for Arias birthday surprise.
I walked into the room closing the door behind me she was staring at the wall without blinking lost in her thoughts. I sat down on one of the chairs allowing her to process whatever was on her mind making her zone out all day today.
