Aria POV
Lydia walked over to me, already reaching for my baby. I carefully placed him in her arms even though she didn't ask. I didn't have the energy to argue—I really didn't feel like starting anything right now.

I still felt weak, but way better than when I first woke up. My body ached, but at least I wasn't fighting to stay conscious anymore.

"He's so freaking cute," Sammy said softly as Lydia held him.

I smiled, watching them admire my son. My chest warmed a little seeing how loved he already was.

My eyes drifted over to Caleb, who stood by the door with a tight expression. He looked irritated—no, more like barely holding it together—since Lydia and Sammy showed up unannounced.

I smiled to myself, loving how protective he was. Even now, he was trying so hard not to ruin the moment for me.

I could tell he wanted to say something—probably a lot—but he held back, especially knowing they came all the way from London without even calling first.

When he caught me staring, his expression softened instantly. He walked over, his tension melting just for me.

He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. "You okay, baby?" he asked softly.

"Mhm," I nodded, my voice still a little shaky. "I-I'm s-starving, though."

That made him smile right away.

"I'm sorry, baby. I should've gotten you something to eat way earlier," he apologized softly, making me smile at how considerate he always was.

"I-it's okay... I k-know y-you're t-tired, d-daddy," I assured him, my voice still weak. I knew he hadn't really slept since we left London.

He kissed my lips again, slow and gentle, like he appreciated every little thing I did for him.

"I'm gonna go get you something to eat," he murmured, brushing his thumb across my cheek.

"I'll be back quick. Ron's gonna check on you, alright?"

"O-Okay..."

He straightened up to his full height, his expression shifting the second his eyes landed on Lydia and Sammy—still holding our baby like they forgot he wasn't theirs.

"Be careful with my son," he said firmly. "Don't keep passing him around like he's a ball or something."

Lydia nodded reluctantly while Sammy gave a small smile.

"Don't worry, Caleb. We won't hurt him," Sammy said.

"I'm not worried," Caleb replied flatly, "because you'll both be dead if anything happens to him."

Sammy's smile dropped instantly. Lydia just stared at him, clearly annoyed, but neither of them said a word.

The room went quiet... tense.

Caleb didn't care.

He turned and walked out, Aaron following right behind him. A second later, Dr. Ron stepped into the room, his presence a little more calm compared to everything that just happened.

"Looks like someone's a protective father," Dr. Ron said lightly as he walked over to me.

I gave a small smile. "H-he's j-just... a-a lot."

He chuckled softly, checking my vitals. "That's one way to put it."

Across the room, I could still feel Lydia's energy—stiff, almost irritated—but I ignored it. I didn't have the strength to deal with her right now.
