Maggie Smith died today. I believe the first thing I ever saw her in was Hook, but Harry Potter will always be the heavy hitter in my mind. This was in part because the first fan fiction I ever developed in my mind was a Harry Potter character who is found/saved by McGonagall. As such, that fan fiction is weighing heavy on my mind right now.
Funny how the loss of the Hogwarts staff never stops breaking my heart. We have now lost 4 Heamasters and the best grounds keeper ever. Rest well, and thank you Professor.
