He hurt.
Stupid bullet.
"Please hold still."
Will was nice.
Nicer than the doctors he knew.
The doctors at Hydra.
Hydra.
Hail Hyd-No!
Not.
Anymore.
"Huh?"
"What?"
"You said 'Not anymore.'"
Had he said that out loud?
Yes.
Will seemed confused.
"Never mind."
More pain.
"Sorry."
He felt bandages touch his bare leg.
Will had torn the fabric to clean the wound.
The fabric.
He needed new clothes anyway.
"There. All stitched up."
"Thank you."
"What?"
"I said thank you."
"Why?"
Will was frowning.
He frowned too.
"Why not?"
"A few days ago, you tried to kill me."
"I'm sorry."
Will looked at him.
"There's something wrong with you."
He tapped his head.
"Your brain?"
"Memories."
Will's eyes widened.
He had figured it out.
"They took your memories."
He nodded.
Will frowned again and went to his work table.
He muttered to himself.
The phone rang.
He jumped.
So did Will.
"Uhh, hello?"
Silence.
Will listened.
He couldn't hear the words.
"What?"
What?
What was happening?
What did they say?
Who was it?
What?
Who?
Too many questions.
"Of course."
Of course, what?
"How do you plan on doing that?"
He frowned, trying to figure out Will's conversation.
"No."
No, what?
"Like that's any better? No!"
