It had been a month since Lily and Lando officially started dating, and they had kept it completely under wraps. Neither of them were ready to deal with the storm that would come if the world knew about them—especially Lily. Her trust in people was fragile, and letting the media into their relationship felt like giving away something sacred.

They saw each other whenever they could—late-night dinners, quiet moments at Lando's house, and spontaneous getaways where no one could recognize them. It wasn't easy, especially with their high-profile careers, but somehow, they made it work.

This morning, Lily had a photoshoot with Vogue, one of her biggest jobs yet. She stood in front of the mirror in the dressing room, her makeup team fussing over the final touches while she tried to center herself. The shoot was in Paris, and as much as she loved her job, her thoughts kept drifting back to Lando.

They hadn't spoken that morning yet, and she could feel her phone buzzing on the counter beside her, but there was no time to check it.

The stylist stepped back, admiring Lily's look. "You're all set," they said with a smile. "We'll be starting in five minutes."

Lily nodded, taking a deep breath as she glanced at her reflection. She looked stunning, dressed in high fashion, her hair styled in soft waves, but there was a heaviness in her chest—a mixture of nerves and excitement. She had been modeling for years, but this was Vogue, and everything had to be perfect.

As she walked onto the set, the lights blinding her for a moment, the photographer greeted her with a wide smile. "Lily, you look incredible! Let's make magic."

The shoot began, and as always, Lily slipped into her professional mode. The flashing cameras, the art of posing—it was her comfort zone. But today, something felt different. Every time the camera clicked, she thought about how Lando would smile when he saw these pictures, how he always told her she was beautiful, even without all the glitz and glamour.

During a quick break, Lily finally had a moment to check her phone. Unsurprisingly, it was Lando, and her heart fluttered as she read his message:

Good luck today, superstar. You're gonna kill it. Can't wait to see you later x

She smiled, quickly typing back: Thanks, I'll text you when I'm done. Miss you already.

Tucking her phone back into her bag, she took a deep breath and returned to the set, her focus sharpened. The rest of the shoot went smoothly, and when the final shots were done, the crew applauded, congratulating her on a job well done.

"Lily, you were fantastic," the photographer praised. "This issue is going to be something special."

She thanked them all graciously, but as she walked back to the dressing room, her mind was on Lando. The more time they spent together, the harder it was to keep their relationship a secret. Paparazzi were getting more invasive, and she could only imagine how much worse it would get if they were caught.

Back in the dressing room, she changed out of the designer clothes and slipped into something more comfortable, pulling her hair back into a messy bun. Just as she was about to leave, her phone buzzed again.

This time, it wasn't Lando.

Her heart sank as she opened a text from one of her friends, attached with a link to a gossip article. The headline was bold, impossible to ignore:

"F1 Star Lando Norris and Mystery Woman Spotted Together—Who is She?"

Lily froze, her fingers gripping the phone tighter. The article had photos of Lando outside of a restaurant, and though she wasn't visible in the shots, the speculative tone of the piece made her stomach turn. They were getting too close.

With a sigh, she leaned against the vanity, staring at her reflection. She knew this day was coming. They couldn't stay hidden forever, but she wasn't ready for the world to know. Not yet.

She took a deep breath and texted Lando: We need to talk.
