The soft morning light filtered through the curtains as Lando slowly stirred awake. His head was still a bit heavy from last night, but the warmth of Lily beside him made everything feel better. He turned to her, a soft smile tugging at his lips. Her hair spread out on the pillow, her face peaceful in sleep. He couldn't help but trace the outline of her face with his gaze, still in awe of the life they were building together.

His thoughts were interrupted by the gentle sound of Daniel cooing from the crib. Lando sighed, giving Lily a quick peck on the cheek before reluctantly slipping out of bed.

He moved silently across the room, picking up his phone from the bedside table. There were messages from his team details about today's practice session, reminders, and some updates from his manager. His schedule was always packed, but it felt different now. There was a new kind of joy in the chaos.

Lando peeked over at Lily once more, his heart swelling. She was still sleeping peacefully, a small smile playing on her lips even in her sleep. With one last glance, he made his way out of the room, making sure to grab a quick shower before getting ready for the day ahead.

An hour later, Lando was out the door, heading to the McLaren team headquarters for a full day of meetings and practice runs. He didn't want to leave, but he knew he had to focus on the season ahead. The adrenaline of racing was something he never grew tired of, but the thought of coming home to Lily and the kids always kept him going.

At the team garage, Charles, Carlos, and a few of the other drivers were gathered in the back room. They were laughing, joking about random things, and generally enjoying the break before they got back to work.

Lando leaned against the doorframe, glancing at the group before pulling up a chair. "What's all this about?" he asked, nodding at the energy buzzing around.

"Oh, nothing much," Carlos grinned, looking over at Lando. "We're just about to play a little game. You in?"

Lando raised an eyebrow. "A game? What is it?"

Charles smiled mischievously, holding up a small bottle. "Truth or dare."

Lando hesitated for a moment, but then shrugged. "Alright, sure. Why not?"

The game quickly escalated into a mix of challenges and laughter. Lando was having a good time, but he found himself becoming more competitive as the game went on. He'd been dared to take a selfie with Daniel's helmet, and Charles had dared him to sing a silly song. Now, it was his turn to ask the questions.

"Alright," Lando said, spinning the bottle dramatically, "Carlos, truth or dare?"

Carlos smirked, clearly ready for anything. "Dare."

Lando leaned forward, eyes glinting with mischief. "I dare you to go out into the parking lot and do your best impression of a chicken for two minutes."

The group burst into laughter as Carlos stood up, playing along without hesitation. He strutted out of the room and began flapping his arms, clucking and acting as if he were a chicken. Lando laughed so hard that he had to wipe away tears from his eyes.

"Alright, your turn," Carlos said, as he returned to the room.

Lando turned to Charles. "Truth or dare, Leclerc?"

Charles thought for a moment before responding, "Truth."

"Okay, then. If you could trade places with anyone here, who would it be?"

Charles paused, scratching his head. "I mean... it's tough. I'd say maybe with Carlos—he always looks like he's having so much fun, especially during moments like this."

Carlos grinned. "I knew I was the one with the best life choices."

Lando smirked, happy to see his friends having fun. "Alright, my turn," Lando said, spinning the bottle one last time. It pointed at him.

"Lando Norris," Charles grinned, "Truth or dare?"

Lando thought for a second, glancing at the group. He knew he had to make this one interesting. "Dare."

Charles leaned back, thinking of something good. "I dare you to send a text to Lily right now saying, 'I miss you so much, can't wait to get home tonight,' with a heart emoji."

Lando chuckled, knowing Charles was trying to embarrass him. Without hesitation, he grabbed his phone and typed out the text. He hit send and then grinned. "There you go. I'll make sure to add more emojis next time."

The group burst out laughing, and even Carlos couldn't contain his laughter at the harmless but funny dare. Lando grinned, knowing it was all in good fun.

As the game wrapped up, Lando's thoughts returned to Lily. Even though he was surrounded by friends, he couldn't help but miss her. Soon, he would be home, ready to spend time with her and their family again.

But for now, he had to focus on work—he had a busy season ahead. Still, no matter how hectic it got, he would always be eager to get back to her.

After all, the most important race in his life wasn't on the track—it was the one he shared with her.
