A Day Just for Us

The morning sun filtered through the curtains of Lando's Monaco apartment, casting a warm glow over the room. Lily stirred from sleep, blinking against the light. She glanced at the clock—it was still early, but she couldn't help feeling excited about the day ahead. Today was going to be different, just the two of them without the prying eyes of the world.

Lando was already awake, sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through his phone. He looked over as Lily shifted and smiled at her.

"Morning," he greeted softly, setting his phone aside. "Ready for our day?"

Lily stretched with a yawn, a soft smile forming on her lips. "Definitely. I've been looking forward to this."

They had planned something simple, a day just for them away from the chaos of races, photoshoots, and the media. No glitzy events, no fancy dinners—just time to be together, away from the noise.

A couple of hours later, Lando and Lily walked hand in hand through the quiet streets of Monaco. They had managed to avoid most of the attention so far, slipping into little cafes and quiet alleyways where no one would recognize them.

They eventually found themselves at a small, tucked-away restaurant by the harbor, the kind of place that only locals knew about. It was charming, with outdoor seating that overlooked the water, and it felt like they were the only two people in the world.

"I like this," Lily said as they sat down, her fingers tracing the rim of her coffee cup. "It's nice to just be... normal."

Lando nodded, leaning back in his chair as he took in the peaceful view. "Yeah, it's a rare thing these days. Just us, no cameras, no fans."

The conversation flowed easily between them as they talked about everything but the pressures of their careers. Lando told her funny stories from his early days in racing, while Lily shared memories of her time modeling in different countries.

It felt effortless, like they had known each other for years.

After lunch, they wandered down to the marina, where yachts bobbed gently in the water. The sea breeze was refreshing, and the quiet hum of the city in the background made everything feel relaxed.

Lando squeezed Lily's hand, pulling her closer as they walked along the edge of the pier. "You know, I was thinking... Maybe we should do this more often. Just disappear from the world for a day."

Lily looked up at him, her eyes soft. "I'd like that. It feels good to get away, even if it's just for a little while."

They stopped at the end of the pier, watching as the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting a golden hue over the water. Lando wrapped an arm around Lily's waist, pulling her closer. For a moment, it was just them—no distractions, no expectations.

"This is perfect," Lando murmured, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head.

Lily leaned into him, feeling a sense of peace she hadn't felt in a long time. "Yeah, it really is."
