Caught in the Act

The paddock was buzzing with energy ahead of the race, but in the quiet of Lando's driver's room, things felt worlds away from the public eye. Lando and Lily had stolen a rare moment to themselves, wrapped in each other's embrace, the noise outside fading as they lost themselves in a kiss.

Lily's hands were around Lando's shoulders, and he held her close, their laughter mingling in the air between playful kisses. They were too wrapped up to notice the soft knock—or the sound of the door creaking open.

"Ahem."

Lando and Lily broke apart, startled, and looked over to see Charles and Carlos standing in the doorway, trying (and failing) to keep straight faces.

"Well, well, look at this!" Carlos teased, giving Charles a nudge. "We just came to check on you before the interview, but clearly, you're... occupied."

Lily flushed, stifling a laugh as she stepped back, and Lando threw his friends an exaggerated eye roll. "You two seriously don't know how to knock, do you?"

Charles leaned against the doorframe, grinning. "Guess we need a 'do not disturb' sign for your driver's room now, huh?"

Carlos joined in, pretending to be serious. "Maybe it's better we found out this way. We'll be sure to respect your... quality time going forward."

Lily couldn't help but laugh, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she took a step back. "Well, I'll leave you boys to it," she said, giving Lando a wink. "Good luck with the interview."

As she left, Lando shot Carlos and Charles a mock glare. "Thanks a lot, guys."

"Anytime, mate," Charles chuckled, clapping him on the shoulder. "Now, shall we?"

They made their way to the interview area, Carlos and Charles exchanging amused glances every few steps, much to Lando's dismay.

As they settled into their seats, the reporter started off with questions about the season, but it didn't take long for them to switch focus. "Lando, everyone seems to be noticing you're a bit more... cheerful this season. Any particular reason?"

Charles stifled a laugh, and Carlos couldn't help himself. "Let's just say he's got a great... support system."

Lando rolled his eyes, smiling as he shot his friends a knowing look. "Yeah, I'm pretty lucky to have friends who always keep me on my toes."

The interview continued with the usual banter, Carlos and Charles keeping the energy high with their teasing and jokes, as Lando did his best to keep a straight face.

When it was over, Carlos gave Lando a grin. "Hey, man, you know we're just looking out for you. And, honestly? We're happy for you."

"Yeah," Charles added, clapping Lando on the back. "Just maybe keep the driver's room moments a little more... low-key next time?"
