The media day had officially begun, and all the Formula 1 drivers were seated together in a large, stylish studio. Lando sat comfortably between Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as the interview started. On either side of him, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo, and Charles Leclerc completed the group, each grinning as they prepared for the inevitable mix of racing questions and friendly banter.
The interviewer, sensing the lighthearted mood, started with a grin. "So, Lando, you've had quite an eventful off-season. A wedding, a honeymoon... tell us a little about it!"
Before Lando could even open his mouth, Lewis leaned in, eyes sparkling mischievously. "Yeah, mate, tell us all the juicy details. How was the honeymoon? Was it... relaxing?" He raised an eyebrow suggestively, a smirk playing at his lips.
Lando rolled his eyes, though he couldn't help but laugh. "It was amazing. You know, beautiful views, sun, beach—very relaxing."
Oscar, sitting on the other side, couldn't resist. "Relaxing, huh? I'm sure it was more than just beach sunsets. What else did you two get up to, huh?" he asked with a wicked grin, nudging Lando playfully with his elbow.
The other drivers burst into laughter, with Carlos and Charles leaning in, clearly enjoying where this was going.
Lando's face turned a little red as he tried to keep things light. "It was a normal honeymoon, alright? We just enjoyed the beach, the sea, the food... You know, typical stuff."
Lewis wasn't letting it go. "Come on, man, no one has a 'typical' honeymoon. Did you at least rent one of those private bungalows in the Maldives? You know, the ones where you can just... disappear for days?" His grin widened, clearly loving how uncomfortable he was making Lando.
Lando's eyes widened, and he shook his head, laughing. "Alright, alright, yeah, we stayed in one of those bungalows. It was perfect. But I'm not giving you guys any more details."
Oscar wasn't done yet, though. He leaned forward conspiratorially, pretending to whisper to the interviewer but loud enough for everyone to hear. "Yeah, sure, typical stuff. Like long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners... and maybe some skinny dipping?"
The entire room erupted in laughter, with even Daniel joining in, his signature wide grin on full display.
Lando groaned, running a hand over his face. "You guys are the worst! No skinny dipping, alright? Just lots of swimming. Fully clothed."
"Fully clothed? On your honeymoon?" Lewis teased, laughing even harder.
The interviewer, who was trying to maintain some semblance of professionalism, couldn't help but laugh along. "Sounds like it was an unforgettable honeymoon, Lando. But we'll let you off the hook... for now."
George leaned over, trying to calm things down. "Lando, man, don't worry, they're just jealous. Not everyone's living that honeymoon life yet."
Carlos chimed in, grinning. "Exactly. You've set the bar pretty high for the rest of us."
Lando smirked, finally regaining his composure. "Well, when you get married, you'll understand. But I'll leave the details out of it next time, just to avoid this interrogation."
Oscar, ever cheeky, shot back. "I don't know, mate. We're kind of hoping for more details next time."
Lando shook his head with a laugh, but there was a playful glint in his eyes. "Alright, alright. Next time, I'll take notes on what not to tell you lot."
As the laughter died down, the interviewer smiled, knowing they had gotten more than enough fun out of that topic. "Alright, enough about honeymoons. Let's talk about the upcoming season. Who's ready to take Lando down this year?"
The drivers quickly shifted back to racing mode, but not without a few more playful smirks directed at Lando. The rest of the interview continued with plenty of friendly competition and jokes, but the highlight of the day remained the good-natured teasing over Lando's honeymoon.
