"Rosie?" Bobby walked upstairs finding Aurelia sitting on the kitchen counter separating all the candy at the firehouse.
it was Halloween and the station was letting trick or treaters come in and stop by with their parents to get candy and take pictures with the trucks.
"hey, dad."
"i need you to stay here today and help Buck give out candy." Bobby pulled out the stool sitting on it.
Aurelia's eyes moved to look at Bobby, "why me?"
"i know you're still upset with him with the lawsuit but i also know there was something going on with you two before it."
"i want to forgive him so bad, dad. when i think of talking to him all i think about is when he spoke about them to his lawyer." Aurelia lowered her voice, when she first opened up to Buck about her birth parents he always promised her never to bring them up.
so when Aurelia heard those words leave his lawyers mouth, it broke her heart. she hated talking about her parents and how they slowly started to distance themselves before they left. then when they left, Aurelia remembered how scared she was, she remembered staying up late for weeks even months.
"i know, Rosie," Bobby took her hands squeezing them tightly, "he apologized to me but he's also been trying to find the right words to tell you."
Aurelia looked over the balcony seeing Buck at the candy table looking at the smoke detectors in confusion. Buck tried his best the last few days to talk to Aurelia but was always interrupted by either the alarm or Bobby calling for something. Frank and Knight's words replayed in her head for the two to talk things out.
"okay. i'll stay here with him." Aurelia nodded throwing a piece of candy into the pumpkin bucket.
"thank you." Bobby stood up placing a kiss on her forehead.
"you should take it easy on him too, if i'm gonna be playing nice you do too, and forget the "it's my house, my rules." thing." Aurelia grinned at Bobby who opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it.
"damn, i hate when you reverse stuff on me." Bobby smiled making Aurelia laughed and jump off the counter.
"love you!" she picked up the bowls of candy taking them downstairs.
the alarm shortly rang as everyone started to leave, Aurelia set the last few bowls of candy on the table. Buck immediately getting distracted when he saw that she had stayed at the station, watching her walk over to a family helping them take pictures and took pictures with a few kids who wanted a picture with Aurelia.
