it was known that feelings were scary for Aurelia. she thought that when she was with Knight things would be different and get easier for her. turns out, it's still just as scary. when Buck had told her he wanted to be with her the other night, she hadn't given an answer to him and it had been weeks now. of course she wanted to be with Buck, it's all she ever wanted. when they first confessed their feelings for each other, Buck telling her he wants them to work out, then the other night he wanted to be with her.
things started to get real, really fast for the redhead.
Aurelia had been waiting to hear those words for years when her feelings for Buck grew. she never thought he would actually feel the same way back. she tried not to shut herself and her feelings out this time around, but whenever the conversation came, Aurelia either switched it up or a call came and the 118 had to go. eventually, she knew she had to speak to Buck about it, she just didn't know how it would go.
"okay, today's the day. you can do it, Aure. it's fine. what's the worse that can happen?" Aurelia gave herself a pep talk, standing in the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror at work.
with that, Aurelia stepped out of the bathroom pushing her straightened hair back and away from her face as she made her way upstairs smelling breakfast that Bobby was preparing.
"good morning, sunshine. don't you look happy." Bobby smiled at the girl as she sat on the stool.
"i look mad don't i? you always say that when i look mad." Aurelia leaned over grabbing a cup and some apple juice.
Bobby furrowed his brows at his daughter, "no i don't."
"yes you do." Chimney passed by making Aurelia motion to her friend.
Bobby playfully rolled his eyes leaning over the counter, "gonna tell him today?"
"maybe? why is it so scary, dad?" she whispered incase Buck went upstairs.
"love is terrifying but it's also a very beautiful thing." Bobby tells her, Aurelia stared at her hands, the ring Buck got her for Christmas still on her finger as she stared twirling it around.
"the getting sick thinking about love isn't so beautiful."
Bobby laughed moving next to her hugging her, "you get past it. i was like that with mom when we first started dating and then Athena."
"mom would probably tell me to stop being nervous and go for it." Aurelia laughed leaning into Bobby.
