Chapter 62 - Baby Shower

"Awww sooo cute...how precious...open mine now!" the Luna brunch has turned into an impromptu baby shower, and the she-wolves were loving it! Rarely did they have the importunity to buy and admire baby items, and they had gone all out for Luna Rose. The Redwood function room was decorated in pink and blue balloons, crepe streamers, and beautiful flower arrangements. They had prepared frosted cupcakes, finger sandwiches, multi-coloured macaroons, and pink and blue mocktails. They had even organised a special chair, which resembled a throne, for Rose to sit on as she opened her presents. Every time Rose would open a present, they would collectively ohh and ahh over it, and praise the Luna who had gifted it, all of them trying to one up each other.

Sophie is beaming, watching her niece being treated like princess, it's everything she hoped for her and more. Sophie can sense Rose is a little overwhelmed by all the attention, her niece being such a sweet natured she-wolf, is allowing the other Lunas to fawn all over her and have their fun. Sophie's neck begins to tingle, she can sense him before she even sees him. Sensing him staring at her, like he either wants to eat her or fuck her...or maybe both, he is always so intense. Alpha Knox walks into the function room, ever so slightly brushing against Sophie as he strides past. Trying to make it look like accident, but the clever Luna knows he is scent marking her.

The Lunas stop their chattering and bow to the Alpha as he approaches, they're all blushing at the sight of the handsome blueblood. "Good afternoon ladies, I won't keep you too long from your party. I thought I would take my grand-nephew to watch the soldiers training" says the Alpha, crouching low with arms out to Xavier, who runs into them for a hug.

"Oh no...can't he stay...I haven't had my turn with him yet...what about the presents we brought for him too?" the she wolves begin to protest, they were enjoying playing with the adorable three-year-old pup, and didn't want to give him up. This was the best Luna brunch ever; they were indulging in all their breeder fantasies.

Alpha Knox hugs Xavier and lifts him off the ground and tosses him up in the air a few times. Xavier is in fits of giggles, as he places him back on the ground and takes hold of his hand.

"Well little Alpha, what would you like to do? Do you want to stay here at the party with the pretty Lunas, or do you want to come train with the ugly soldiers?" asks Knox with a mock serious expression.

"I want to train with uglies! I show you my new moves! Watch this Unca Knock!" exclaims Xavier as he let's go of his uncle's hand, and does a back flip followed by a roundhouse kick. All the Luna's gasp, clap and laugh, they're not use to seeing such rare athleticism in a child, Xavier is incredibly talented indeed.

"Very good little Alpha! You're already better than some of my new cadets, let's go to the training grounds and show them how it's done" with that Alpha Knox takes his nephew's hand, not once looking at Sophie, yet still managing to brush past her and inhale deeply on his way out. Sophie looks down, trying to hide her blushing cheeks, and the small smile on her face.

"Oh goddess, I thought they would never leave! I've never been to a Luna brunch that ran this long, or was so much fun!" exclaims Sophie, after bidding farewell to the last visiting Luna.

"I know, it was so overwhelming! Look at all these gifts, I didn't even get to open them all" Rose says looking bewildered at the mountain of presents for both the baby and Xavier "I guess we better get started shifting them all to our guest quarters, we can open the rest there". Sophie had cleverly arranged it, so they could share one of the larger guest cabins, she wanted to spend every minute with her niece and grandson. As they begin packing up the gifts, Sophie's new guard Trevor, enters the function room.
