The day that you first heard the news about the new war, you were chilling in your living room. The TV was on and a random news femme was broadcasting about stuff you didn't practically care for yourself. You hadn't had your energon for the night yet, so you got up from the couch and went to go drink. That was when you heard it, the words that forever changed your life.
"So, our tax rate is being increased by. . . hold up I'm getting an intercepting call," The femme spoke. Intrigued, you did a 180 to face the TV again. You walked over and placed yourself on the couch.
'Dinner can wait,' you thought, as a low energon warning appeared on your screen.
The femme had a shocked look on her face, you leaned in a little closer towards your TV. "B. . . BREAKING NEWS! As of a mega-cycle ago, Cybertron will officially be at war. Both the head leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons have made their stands. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. May Primus have mercy on us. . ." and with that the news station flashed off, and the screen glitched out.
'Dang it, must be the network, or maybe I didn't pay the bill,' you thought, clicking the buttons on the remote to see if it would turn on again. It didn't. Suddenly you got a private comm. link from someone. It was your carrier.
"____! ____!!! ANSWER YOUR CARRIER RIGHT NOW!" she frantically yelled. Still in shock, you hovered your finger over your audio sensor.
". . . what's going to happen carrier?" you muttered nervously. You couldn't believe what you just saw. You knew that for a long while now, even before you were created, there was a lot of tension between the 2 groups. But how on Cybertron are you going to survive a war? You couldn't fight at all, you had very little knowledge of battle strategies. But you had a very extensive knowledge in the medical field, surely that would come in handy. That wasn't the only thing on your mind. You knew little about these sides, as you weren't very involved in "politics." All you knew was that the Decepticon leader was a world-renowned gladiator called "Megatronous" and the other side was led by someone. Megatronous was fighting for equality (you think) in the council, but now he's resorting to more violent options after the council wouldn't listen to the mech. You have seen him fighting in the pits before, and needless to say, he's a pretty good fighter. But still, a war seemed to be a little too far. But then again, actions speak louder than words.
"I don't. . .know sweetspark, I don't know." You heard the pain in her voice, and you knew that it was really happening.
"Where's sire, is he alright?" you questioned, worried about your poor old sire and how this war will affect him.
"He's. . .he's been drafted to help the Autobots in the war. He's healing up hurt soldiers. " Your spark sank. You couldn't. . . no WOULDN'T believe what your mom was saying. Sire, YOUR old sire who would hurt his spinal circuit just by bending down, was now on the front lines rushing in and out of battle to save sparks. It made no sense. Why would he do this? What would he get out of doing this? Many questions raced through your head as you tried to calm yourself down. The thought that your sire could become one with the AllSpark was really setting you off edge. Before you knew it, you were crying.
"____, don't cry honey. Your sire is a very strong bot, I. . . I can only hope he can get through this." Not even your carrier was fully confident in your sire's abilities. Well, that wasn't off-putting.
"Is there any way you can come over?" you tried to ask, hoping she would say yes. You really needed someone by your side right now, no matter who it was.
"I can't right now hun, it's far too dangerous. We're being surveilled 24/7, I don't think I can leave this area for a couple of cyber-weeks." You could feel the distress through your bond, and that was finally when reality settled in. There was no going back to how the normal life used to be. Everything was different now. "No matter what happens sweetie, just know that me and your sire will ALWAYS be with you. . ."
And with that your carrier disconnected from her comm. line. Silence. It surrounded you. You slowly dropped your hand that was hovering over your audio receptor. Nothing was making sense. Just yesterday you were able to walk around freely without any second thoughts, but today you now had to live in constant fear about what the next step might be.
'Ok ____, just calm down a bit. Ma...maybe some energon ought to cheer us up." Slowly, you got up off your soft cushioned couch and walked towards your energon area. You opened up a cabinet to discover that you only had a few more left, about 11. 'Great, couldn't have found this out yesterday. No, it HAD to be when I found out there was a war that I'm low and fragging energon. FRAG!' you thought as you popped open on of your few energon containers. You carefully drank the liquid, making sure not to waste any. This was war now, so rations would be necessary. After that was done and you disposed of the empty container CORRECTLY, you set off to get ready for recharge. As you laid down on your "comfortable" berth, you stared at the empty ceiling and began to wander.
'Surely this is just a little mishap, nothing will happen. In a few solar-cycles, it'll blow over. . . But what if it doesn't?' That was the last question you were able to ask yourself before your optics tightly closed, sending you into a stable recharge for the night.
-------------------------------Fast forward about 5 cyber-weeks
The time had finally come. You were OUT of energon. You had done a good job rationing supplies, allowing yourself to have a few drops when you really needed it. But now, your supplies were dry, there was not a drop of it anywhere in the house. Luckily for you, your body was able to get (at least a little) used to being energon deficient, so you had a while before the symptoms would kick in. The main question at hand was where on Cybertron were you going to get supplies? How would get them, nonetheless? Down the street from you is or was an energon supplier, chances definitely were that it was already raided. To be honest, just by looking outside the window in your berthroom, EVERYTHING looked raided and beaten down. It was a huge miracle by Primus himself that your sector hadn't been raided yet. Buildings were ruined, energon stained the ground, but worse of all was the number of limbs that were detached from bots not willing to join forces. It horrified you. So, with all the bad around you, you knew this wouldn't be a piece of Cybertronian cake. You had to devise a plan for this mission.
First, in about 1 mega-cycle, you'll exit your sector through the back door, which led into a small ally. From there, you'll have to be very incognito and make your way to the energon supplier, or what's left of it.
'E-Say,' you thought, as you stretched out your limbs in preparation for Mission: Energon. 'Just get the energon and be on your way, that's all you have to do.'
