~What Happened?~

The rest of the day, you could barely keep your optics open. Nothing would help. You were very fortunate that Breakdown was helping today.

"Sheesh ____, you look horrible! First time pulling an all-nighter?" Knock Out asked.

"Yeah I guess, I was never one to stay up late. Is this what it's like to work here? I can barely keep my optics open!"

"Well, I guess it can be like that most of the time, especially with the war. Consider yourself lucky, there hasn't been much activity recently. Welp, except for yesterday. . . " he looked down at the floor for a split second. "Wait you've never pulled an all-nighter before?"

      "Yup."

"Wow, and how old are you?"

With that you just rolled your optics. You were never one for parties. You usually just stayed in at your quarters instead. You weren't an introvert, but big outings never truly interested you. Even in times when you were stressed out, due to your circuit sleep was always inevitable.

"Yesterday while I was finishing up, I noticed that Soundwave stopped by. What was that for?"

You tried to recollect your memory from yesterday. "Well, he first came in to tell me that it was far pass lights out, and to get to my quarters. I was going to comply, but I noticed he got damaged in a way. So, I offered to help him. It was going well, but I messed up in some way I can't seem to recall, maybe I hurt him, but who knows. Anyways, he stormed out and reprimanded me to get back to my quarters. I tried to apologize, but he wouldn't take it. He 'threatened' to report me, and then I blacked out," you tried explaining in the best way possible, but that was hard since you didn't remember anything.

"It's not like him to lose his cool. At least of what I know, that mech never talks," Breakdown chimed in.

"It is what it is, I'm still not sure if he ever reported me. I was scared about what was going to happen at the morning meeting today, but luckily nothing seemed to come out of it," you admitted. Maybe it was an all-yell-no-action type of threat. Throughout the rest of the workday, you tried to forget about the unfortunate occurrence that happened last night. It means nothing, just another empty threat. You've had those said to you multiple times in your creation. Yet this one felt different. Was it because of the circumstance? Was it because of what could happen if he went through with it? Or was it a different reason, one you did not understand yet? Whatever it was, it was truly getting on your nerves. Why on Cybertron where you overprocessing this so hard? Why in Primus's name did this hurt your spark so bad? Why did it feel so terrible to think, even for a nano-klik, that this mech might do something that could harm you in the future? Or that he could now just not like you? You always knew you wouldn't be liked by everybot, this surely isn't a different situation, right?

Some of these thoughts plagued your processor, but you tried to shake them off. It wasn't a matter worth stressing over. Plus, before you knew it, the workday was over! Although you were having some internal conflicts today, you were altogether feeling a bit adventurous. Lately, you've been noticing more and more bots enjoying their energon on the flight deck. From what you have comprehended, anybot can hang there at night, but it's off-limits after lights out. Maybe tonight was the night you could see what was beyond these walls. You have been on here for weeks already, so it was about time for a change. You got some energon and headed on out. As soon as you opened the doors, your face plates fell. You weren't sure what to expect, but it wasn't this. For starters, the weird bright thingy (sun) you saw when you first arrived was gone, and it was replaced by this big moon. But with the moon were a bunch of smaller, bright stars. Some big some small. You looked at the deck, and it was pretty barren. A lot of bots were lined up at the sides and edges, just talking with each other. You smiled, it was way more peaceful out here than inside. A slight breeze went past you, and you shivered a bit. It was a little cold though, but that was a fair price to pay for this beautiful moment. You walked over to the edge on one side and looked below you. There were these weird, giant puffy things. They were white and reminded you of the cotton balls back in med-bay (they were clouds). You wondered how they felt, and if you landed on them would they support your weight?

You looked around you and waved at some of the bots you recognized from working on. You slowly sat down over the edge, your legs dangling off. Obviously, being so high up in the atmosphere made you a little nervous, but seeing everybot around you in the same position, hanging off the edge calmed you down.

Halfway through your drink, you hear the large doors open. Everybot around you quiets down. You don't bother to look back; nothing is going to ruin this moment. Not Megatron, not Starscream, not even Soundwave can do anythi-

"____, there is a medical request for you." It was Soundwave saying something off the fake voice he uses.

'Why couldn't it have been Starscream? Why Soundwave?'
