"Hey there Soundwave! What's up?" you questioned.

"I am here to escort you to your quarters."

You checked your I.T.S., although you already knew how much time you had left. Only about 14 minutes now till lights out.

"Wow, yeah you're right! I guess I lost track of time there. I was going to go in when the others started returning, but I might as well get in a few extra minutes of recharge. Thanks for getting me personally," you thanked him, then chugged down the rest of your cube. You threw out the empty container and headed inside to go to your quarters. Soundwave followed behind you and walked you to your temporary sector. You said your farewells and then went inside to finally get some well-needed recharge.

You were VERY recharge-deficient, and you passed out without even needing to use your circuit. Unfortunately, before you knew it your alarm went off, and the workday repeated its daily cycle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the next weeks to follow, Soundwave had been doing this same routine. At 15-10 minutes before lights out, he would get you and walk you to your sector. You really appreciated (and liked) it, it was comforting to have a friend walk you in the dark.

On this specific day though, you were sent on a small side mission with some vehicons (it wasn't supposed to be a fighting mission, so they sent you while the other soldiers rested). You had a small run in with an autobot, nothing too much. A few punches and gun shots later, the mission was complete, and you returned to base.

You stayed a little after the workday was over to fix over any scratches or dents you acquired from the rumble before. But fixing scratches lead to fixing other blemishes you had from other fights or run-ins, which altogether lead to a long session of buffering. It felt nice to finally be able to be a little shiny, Primus knows when the last time you got buffered. A little self-care wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, you hadn't anticipated it would take THIS long to be done. As you went to put away the buffer, the front medical doors opened. You looked to see who it was. It was just Soundwave.

"I've been looking for you all over. Did you already get some energon?" he asked.

'Oh frag, nightly energon rations. Whelp, I guess I have to go hungry,' you thought to yourself. Over the past few weeks, there had been a major decrease in the amount of energon you received. It was mostly because this planet had not as much as Cybertron. You received very little now, so it is what it is.

"No, not yet. Well, I guess not for tonight, cause the dispensary is definitely closed."

"What were you doing? Working overtime?"

"No, I was just fixing some scratches. Then I buffered myself," you held up the buffer out from the drawer. "Want me to do you?"

He took a few seconds to respond. "No, I am good for now."

"Ok then, makes my life easier," you jokingly answered back then finally put away the buffer. "Alright, I'm ready to go."

      "Ok."

You both exited the med-bay and walked back to your quarters. Out of nowhere though, Soundwave abruptly stopped.

"What's wrong? Something the matter with you?" you pondered, stopping in your tracks also.

"We should stop by my quarters. I have some spare energon you can intake." You were surprised to say the least. Nonetheless, you put on a Cybertronian poker face and played off your shock.

"How thoughtful of you! Yea, we can stop over there." You were touched by is kindness, it was hard to think that a bot with such a blank (actually) face could be so sweet. Of course, going to his quarters would put you way off the track from your quarters, but it would be worth it hopefully.

While walking to his quarters, there was again the nice silence in the air. Conversations here and there, but nothing too deep. You were just thinking a bit about what happened in your day. You wondered what happened to the autobot after. Did they too have to go to the med-bay? How was that like? Then you remembered something, something that had been in the back of your processor for a bit but you never asked.

"Hey Soundwave, do you know who the medic for the Autobots is? He looked familiar the last time I saw him. But then again I didn't get to see him fully, so I don't know."

"The bot's name is Ratchet. He's an older mech, he is not on the battlefield a lot."

Well, your suspicions were right, it was your sire. Well at least he's not dead. But what if you have to fight him? Do you just run away, or give up? That's for future you to figure out, if you ever have to fight him.

"Oh, okay thanks. I was just curious to say the least." You didn't want to actually say the truth. It might hurt your reputation a bit since you have a "personal" relationship with an autobot. But then again, it could help a bit. You weren't willing to gamble on this though.

In a matter of minutes, you were standing outside of Soundwave's doors. He opened it up, and you were astonished. It was bigger than yours, but not overly big. Unlike yours, there was a wider variety of furniture. There were computers and desks also. And a bigger berth.

"Guess these are the perks of being such a superior officer. It's so nice in here!" you squealed as you entered the dorm. So spacious. You looked at a desk on the right side of the room, and Laserbeak was laying down, probably in recharge.

"How have they been lately? Any problems?"

"Laserbeak has been good. Thankfully, they haven't gotten injured in the past weeks. But, when that time happens, I will go straight to you."

You smiled at that remark. Soundwave got out a huge cube of energon, and put some in a separate, smaller cube.

      "Here."
