It was finally the day you were dreading. It was the end of training. That morning, everybot had gathered at the front of the flight deck, awaiting orders to see what will happen. You tried to get there extra early, because for some reason you thought that would help you be placed on a good ship. You, along with everybot else on the vessel, waited for a good 20 minutes extra for Skywarp to arrive. Finally, just as you were about to complain, you saw his silhouette in the distance.
"ATTENTION! Everybot, congratulations on completing the 5 orbital cycle long training to become a fierce Decepticon warrior. As your ships commanding officer, I am stationed here today to make sure you get assigned to the appropriate ship. Now, everybot form 5 SINGLE FILE lines, from there we will make sure you go to the right vessel. GO, NOW!" Skywarp commanded, and without hesitation everybot got into place. Your spark beat rapidly. Every pedstep you took, your spark increased its speed. You didn't really care what ship you got assigned to, you just didn't want to have to be by yourself again. You prayed to Primus that Roadturn would be assigned with you.
As you stepped up, the machine scanned you. It separated you onto a weird ship you have never heard of before. But today Primus was on your side. Roadturn also got assigned to that same ship. You wanted to jump up and down in joy but figured that wouldn't be very appropriate at all. Many bots who were friends with each other got separated today, even the few acquittances you made were all on different ships. But that didn't matter, because you had your best friend with you.

Life aboard the vessel was very slow; almost nothing happened. You of course were always a little busy in the med bay, because even without war efforts bots were still getting sick. You felt a little sorrow for Roadturn, as he had been really looking forward to fighting Autobots. But then again, you were glad he wasn't fighting because you didn't want him to be offlined yet. You guys were really starting to grow close, and you didn't want anything to ruin what you had. You were stationed there for a VERY long time, almost 1,000 vorns. Obviously, it didn't feel that long to you.
Everything was normal, until one solar cycle everything crashed down on you. It was nighttime, and you were in your ACTUAL quarters (now that you were an actual doctor onboard a ship, you got a private berthroom/quarters). You had invited Roadturn to drink energon supply with you, and life was good.
You both were cuddled up on the couch provided for you, drinking away at your containers. You turned your helm to face him, as your optics made contact.
"Roadturn, we've been getting really close over the many vorns we were stationed on this ship. I just want you to know that. . . I lo-"
*ERR* *ERR* *ERR*
You both shot up at the sound of the alarm. What was happening? You have never heard this alarm go off before, you feared it was something important. Before you could react, Roadturn grabbed your servo and started running with you down the hall. You had NO idea where he was going, but you didn't want to turn around. As soon as you both turned a corner, a laser got shot right passed your head.
"FRAG! I was hoping it wasn't this. The Autobots are invading our ship! Stay behind me ____!" Roadturn whispered, as he ran out to help the other soldier stationed onboard. The fight scene was insane! You ducked down behind a table flipped over to be a barrier, and every once in a while, Roadturn would peak out from under it and shoot at an unsuspecting Autobot.
From your peripheral vision, you noticed an Autobot coming straight towards you. You didn't know how to fight, but you didn't want Roadturn to take on 2 battles. You quickly got up and ran towards the bot, transforming your servos into blades. You tried to slice him, but he was just as fast as you. He got a good punch on you, and you stumbled back a bit. Trying to use these nano-kliks wisely, you "fell down" and slashed open his leg energon wires. He jumped in pain, still trying to maintain a steady fighting stance. So, you tried to slice his arm wires, but you were blocked again. Instead, you threw a nasty left hook his way, which caused him to stumble backwards a lot. It wasn't until he moved that you noticed something, or SOMEBOT. All the way in the back, helping all the hurt Autobots and moving them to safety, was none other than YOUR SIRE! You started panicking, not wanting your sire to be hurt by anyone. You also didn't want him to see you here, because you felt ashamed. In all the time you were in your head, the mech you were fighting regained his ground and gave you terrible slash right over your face. Energon gushed out, and you were mortified at what just happened. He then took this time to get you on the ground, so that from there he could easily offline you. Your processor wasn't computing at all what was happening, as you still touched your face in disbelief. If it wasn't for Roadturn shooting the Autobot, you would've been dead.
"C'mon ____, I told you to stay by me and you try to fight a bot 2 times your size!" You look over at Roadturn, and he is beat up badly. He had many shot wounds in him, and was leaking energon like crazy.
"Roadturn! What happened to you? Lets go to the infirmary to get you patched up!" you pleaded, but he shook his helm.
"I would like too, but there's no time for that ____. The Autobots have taken over this vessel," he chuckled, trying to make this situation lighter.
"Then where are we going?"
"To the escape pods." The escape pods!? He was going to send you both to a different planet?! You didn't know what to say, but with the sounds of gun shots right behind you, you started to pick up your pace,
You turned the corner for the emergency room, and just as you hoped there was 1 pod left. 1 pod left. That meant that only 1 of you had a chance for survival, while the other would stay here and perish.
"Roadturn, you should go. I'm one of the medics here, and it's my duty to help my faction. Go out, and find help somewhere else in this vast universe," you pleaded, not wanting him to offline. He just shook his helm.
"Sorry, no can do. I made a promise to you back when we were still in training, and I fully intend on keeping it. I said I would do my best to protect you in any way I could, and now here's a way that I can," he spoke softly, pushing you into a pod. With a bot inside, it locked up. You banged on the glass, crying out his name. "Listen, I don't know what you were going to say before, back when we were drinking our energon, but I got a hunch of it. ____, I will ALWAYS love you, no matter if we are both online or offline. I will never be able to forget a femme like you. Till we meet again, whether alive or with the AllSpark," he spoke solemnly, and it hurt your spark to think you might not ever see him again.
'I. . .I will always love you too,' you thought to yourself, as he pressed the launch button. It put you into a temporary controlled stasis, and in an instant, you were soaring through the stars, unaware of what the next step might be. And just for a split while in your life, you were at peace.
