~Private Comm .~

The first part of the solar cycle was pretty easy. You were very far into training by this point, 1/5 of the way done.

"Today's lesson will be on how to reconnect loose wires," spoke machine 1675, as they got out their surgical equipment. "Everybot, start correctly sterilizing your products. Loading sterilization procedure." It pulled up a video, which was something you've never seen it do before. Just as the video started playing, you got an incoming private comm. from someone. You thought of only 1 person it could be. You knew you had to excuse yourself to take this comm., so you asked to use the washroom.

"Machine 1675, I am sorry to disturb the lesson, but will it be any trouble if I can go use the washroom really quick?"

It let out a robotic sigh, which was very funny because it sounded like a robot just saying sigh. It paused the video. "Yes ____, you are excused for 5 cycles. If you are not back in 5 cycles, I will assign you to clean up duty for the day."

"Thank you." And with that you were down the hall, pressing your audio receptors to contact the comm. message.

"Listen Roadturn you know our rules about using the comm. link during training mega cycles, no-" was all you could get out before hearing what the other line had to say.

"____!!!! HOW DARE YOU NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF MY MESSAGES!!!! I AM YOUR CARRIER, I GAVE YOU LIFE AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?! I WAS WORRIED SICK; I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU FOR THE LAST ORBITAL CYCLE BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN GOING THROUGH! WHERE ARE YOU EVEN RIGHT NOW! ARE YOU SAFE? ARE YOU OK? AND WHO ON CYBERTRON IS ROADTURN?" Ah, it was just your carrier. Although you understood that she had every right to be worried about you, you hated that she was so loud most of the time.

You pushed open the washroom door for femmes, concealing yourself in a stall. "Hey carrier. . . how are you? Sorry, I thought you were somebot else before." You didn't know what to say anymore.

"OH, THANK PRIMUS YOUR ALRIGHT! WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW, YOUR SIRE SAYS THAT YOUR SECTOR HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED?!"

"I'm alright carrier. Right now not even I'm sure where I truly am currently, but I'm onboard a Decepticon vess-"

"DECEPTICON VESSEL!? THEY CAPTURED MY SWEETSPARK?! Stay calm baby, I'll find a way out for you, I. . .I'll have sire talk with the autobot leaders to make an escape plan. How many others are with you?"

"No mom listen," you vented hard, knowing this news will be hard for her to processes. "I. . .I'm not a prisoner on this ship, I'm a rookie. I joined the Decepticon side. . ." She went quiet.

      "You what."

"I did. . . I didn't have a choice! I didn't have someone to protect me like how you have sire! They forced me to join or else they would have offlined me right then and there! Trust me, I would rather be doing ANYTHING other than being here, but unfortunately that's the way the Cybertronian cookie crumbles." You hoped she would understand you. You loved your carrier and sire more than anything in all of Cybertron, and you wouldn't want to do anything that would make them think differently of you.

The other side was silent for a bit, before the comm. link went back online. "Hun, you are and will ALWAYS be my sparkling, not matter what you are in this war. Your sire and I are just worried about you, and we want to make sure you will be as safe as possible. Just please, PLEASE don't make stupid mistakes, ok?"

"Ok, I promise. How's sire?" you asked, in an attempt to shift the conversation a bit.

"He's doing well! We both really miss you and hope to get to see you after this war ends. Before you go, who was this Road person you called me?"

You chuckled a bit, not really sure what to even call him anymore. "Oh him, he's just a. . . ummm. . . real good friend of mine. Yea," you said, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible. Hopefully it worked. "He usually pulls stunts like this all that time, so I just thought he was doing this again."

"Did my baby finally meet her mech? Aww honey, I have been waiting for this day stellar cycles!"

"What, no! Carrier it's not like that at all! I swear!" you tried to get yourself out of this predicament, but she was persistent.

"You can say whatever you want, but that doesn't mean I'll believe you! Anywho, I just wanted to make sure my only sparkling was 'safe' for now. If anything happens. . . PRIVATE COMM. ME, YOUR CARRIER!"

"I will, I will, I promise. Love you! Oh, and tell sire I love him too."

"Love you dear. And I will. Bye." With that she went offline, and you let go of your audio processor. You smiled, thinking of all the fond memories you shared with your creators. But then, you realized that you were only supposed to spend 5 cycles in the washroom, and Primus knows how long its been.

You enter back into the area, trying to sneak in. "____, you are over time. It has been 5 cycles and 1 nano-kliks, I gave you an order to be back before 5 cycles. You will now be assigned to cleaning duty." Great, you were late by a nano-klik and now you had cleaning duty!? How unfair was that? Now you were going to be late for energon supply too. This was a confusing day.

You were just finishing up putting away a few stray things in a closet when you accidentally knocked over a little container. It was full of cotton-like balls, so you were just going to put them back where they fell from. As you placed them down, you noticed a binder that was tucked in all the way to the side.

'What even is this contraption?' you pondered, as you opened it up. You looked around the room first, making sure no bot was there. When the coast was clear, you turned the page.

"Day 153 protocol; ship assignment day." You read the title page out loud, astonished at what you held out in front of you. This book holds the future, what can happen. This binder right here will tell you whether or not your spark can be happy, or if you'll be miserable the rest of this war. You were about to turn the page, but something stopped you.

"Hey there, you are ____, I've been looking for you everywhere. They said they put you on cleanup duty, but even I know that it doesn't take that long! Come on, you're going to miss dinner if you stay here any longer," it was just Roadturn.

"Oh yea, I forgot about dinner. Be there in a nano-klik." You placed the binder right where you found it and headed out the door.

'Maybe it'll be more fun to see what the future has in store for me, not know.'
