You arose the next morning at the sound of your alarm. The dreaded beeping brought over a wave of sadness, but you tried to brush it off and wake up. Your "accidentally broken" servo was in a bit of pain, and it was usually normal to feel some sort of sensation afterward. You didn't let that stop you, and you pushed it aside and got ready as usual.

Unfortunately for you, the pain didn't stop there. It was accumulating more and more as the day progressed. When getting the morning supply it hurt. During the daily morning briefing, it hurt like the pits. For once you couldn't wait for your job to start so you could find some sort of relief.

As you walked into the med-bay, you were greeted by both Knock Out and Breakdown. You didn't mind having Breakdown there at all, because any helping hand unit is still a helping hand unit. Plus, he wasn't so bad compared to others on this ship, like Starscream or Airachnid.

"Good morning, guys," you greeted in a nice tone. "I have a quick question Knock Out, do you know if we have anything specifically targeting pain in the limbs? I haven't administered any medication for this matter yet."

      "Why, what for?"

"Oh, you know. Just my servo, it hurts really bad. I would like for some temporary relief, just to get me through the day."

"Hey if your servo hurts so bad, bang your helm against the wall. Your processor wouldn't be focused on your servo pain anymore. Problem solved." Breakdown budded in his comment. By his tone of voice, you couldn't tell if he was joking or being for real.

"I'll think about that. But do we have any medicine?"

"All the way in the back cabinet. Blue bottle, yellow cap. I trust that being a doctor yourself you'll know the right from the wrong. If you want, you can take a few in case of emergency in the future."

"Oh, thank you so much! I'll be right back, and then we can start working!" You easily found the bottle and examined it to make sure it wasn't either the wrong medication or some sort of poisonous drug. You took one and stored a few away for "safe keeping." You headed back and finally started on your day.

It was a fairly simple day. Not much happened so you were able to look over all the injured soldiers and try to get them back in tip-top shape. Your servo finally stopped hurting so bad, and the pain was super bearable.

'Woah, whatever this medicine it's amazing!' you happily thought to yourself.

Before you knew it, the workday had ended. You left the med-bay, but to your dismay Soundwave wasn't anywhere to be seen. You shrugged it off, maybe he was doing something important. It wasn't uncommon to have to run missions even after the workday ended. So, you headed out towards the dispensary to get your daily energon. The line wasn't too bad, but it was kind of long. Thank Primus it went by fast. You got your energon and headed towards the flight deck to peacefully enjoy the rest of your night. But when you got there, you instantly noticed another bot who you didn't expect to see.

Soundwave.

You were a little taken aback that he was already here, but then again what if he was really low on energon? Part of you felt offended, but the other half just ignored that feeling. Without hesitation, you decided to greet him.

"Hey Soundwave, seems like you were a bit empty tonight, you went straight here! But that doesn't matter to me. Anyways, how was your day?" you jokingly said to him.

"Ok." What a cold reply back?

"That's good, at least your day wasn't bad. I mean, your job seems SO stressful and complicated. You constantly have to do things, and you are ALWAYS running around. Do you ever get used to it?"

      "Yes."

"Ok. . ." you didn't know how exactly to respond, so you just didn't. Instead, you sipped your drink in the peaceful quietness. That got boring though, so after a bit you wondered off to talk to other vehicons whom you had good relationships with. You were sometimes a more social bot, so sitting in silence felt boring.

The hours after work ended always flew by extremely fast. Before you, in the blink of an optic, almost everybot had left. You parted ways with the vehicons you were talking to and headed back by where Soundwave was, hoping he would still be there. To your surprise, he was.

"Alright, we should head back now. It's getting very late."

     "Ok."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The walk back was silent. SO silent. And not that good silence, where it's peaceful and relaxing. But a bad one, there was such a bad vibe in the air you could practically see it. The mood was evident enough, so you knew better than to really say anything. Obviously one of you was really ticked off about something or altogether out of it, and that bot wasn't you.

You got to a certain point where many paths met, and instead of going your usual path, Soundwave just stopped.

      "Goodbye ____."

"Yea goodbye, see you tomorrow." You were surprised to say the least. For the past months now, he has ALWAYS walked you to your quarters. It was becoming a part of your daily routine now. But, out of the blue he just decided to go straight to his quarters?

'I mean, maybe he's just tired? Or Laserbeak might have been hurt and needed rest? But if Laserbeak was hurt I would have seen him in the med-bay, no? Whatever, I can't read processors. Primus knows what's going on in his.'

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The walk back was silent, and your processor was wondering all over the place. Such as why did Soundwave do this? What possessed him to act so differently today out of all days? Was it because of your broken servo? Did he think that because your servo was broken you couldn't do things thus rendering you useless?

'That's a little harsh,' you thought.

It could have been other reasons too. Maybe he was just feeling under the weather. Maybe he wanted to change things for today. Or maybe he was just getting tired of you. Hopefully that wasn't the answer, but who knows?

You tried not to think about it, because you can't focus on things that happened in the past or else you'll miss the future. But that doesn't mean that the thought didn't plague your mind. You kept repressing it, because maybe tomorrow things will be different.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEWS FLASH: it wasn't. Over the course of the week, Soundwave just wasn't talking to you at all. He stopped meeting up with you after work. He never walked back with you to your quarters anymore. He even altogether stopped going to the flight deck after work. He was avoiding you like if you had cosmic rust.

Deep down, this crushed you. Not only had you developed what the organisms refer to as a "crush" on this bot, but you also looked to him as a good friend of yours. And now, completely out of the blue he starts ignoring you and just tossing you to the side? This wasn't fair, and you were going to find out why he's doing this.
