~ Strange Feeling~

You walked alongside him to your quarters. The ebony black walls almost trapped you and him together.

'Great,' you thought to yourself begrudgingly, 'I was trying to escape him, not walk alone with him. Can't he take a hint?'

"How was your day today ____?" he asked randomly. Usually, you were the one to start talking, so this surprised you a bit.

"Oh i-it was good I guess. Nothing much happened, but a slow day will always be better than a hectic one. . ." your voice gradually got quieter towards the end.

You looked up at the mech next to you. He was so much taller than you'll definitely ever be. You were up to his long, slender servo. It was shiny and reflective in a way. You got the impulse to reach out and hold onto it, for just a few seconds. But you resisted the temptation, because that would DEFINITELY be weird. But then again, you have been friends for a few orbital cycles, so what if you just crossed hand units. Just locked digits for a split second. As friends of course!

"Are you okay?" he asked out of the blue (or black in this situation).

"Yup! Never better," you replied quickly, suppressing all your past thoughts. You mentally reprimanded yourself for getting caught staring at someone. How embarrassing!

"Ok."

The two of you continued to walk back to your quarters. The intrusive thoughts kept flooding your processor, but you shook them away.

'Just friends, nothing more. Just. Friends,' your spark felt saddened a bit by this, but you pushed it away.

Finally, your quarters was in sight. You sped up ahead of Soundwave.

"____, what is the hurry?"

"I-I-I don't feel well right now! You should go back now," you quickly made up an excuse and put one servo over your forehelm and the other on your tank.

"If you don't feel well, you must get checked out at med-bay tom-"

"Oh it-it's not like that! It's a ummmm birth malfunction! Yea, sometimes I get a bit nauseous." Your lies were getting worse by the second.

      "Ok then. Farewell ____."

"Yea ok same here." With that you hastily opened and unlocked the door to enter your temporary sector. Wasting no time, you headed straight for the oil shower. You were just washing off all the dirt and dust on your armor. There wasn't really any due to you using the buffer before. While you washed off, you contemplated whether your day was good or not, just something to keep your processor off of what you felt before.

For work, you didn't have too many patients today. And the ones who came in had very minor injuries. You stayed after work for longer than expected to buffer your frame. It was hard, but beauty is pain. Then Soundwave paid a visit to you. He invited you for some energon, and walked you back to here.

Soundwave.

Your spark fluttered at the thought of that name. You absolutely hated that you felt this way. But you couldn't help it. There was something about him that was appealing to you. But what could it be?

Is it his slender, tall frame? You always seemed to admire the way it towered over you. Maybe it was his unique voice? At first, you found it weird. But lately, you've been accepting it a lot more. It was different and stood out from everyone else. You loved how it sounded sometimes. It could've been how he always seemed so focused on whatever he was doing. Not a lot of bots are like that anymore. Diligent, efficient in every way, shape, and form. The last thing it could've been was the way that he cared about you. Well, at least you think he cared about you. On the first day, although he was working, he took you on a tour. He's been coming to get you whenever it's about to be lights out. He's been walking with you to your quarters. Talking with you. And today, he even made sure you got your nightly energon rations.

You've been with the Deceptions for over thousands of vorns now, and you knew how rare it was to find a nice bot. It was like finding a screw in a Cybertronian haystack. Especially with higher officers. You used to say that there was an equivalence between being high ranks and being rude fraggers. So, it's very interesting how someone as super high in ranks as Soundwave isn't a total fragger. You're very grateful for that.

You took longer than expected in the oil bath. Even when you were out, you kept investigating this weird feeling. Now, this wasn't a "new" feeling at all. And in the back of your processor you knew what it is. But the question at hand was, would you resign to the fact that you actually are. . . In love???
