~The Way Around~

"Oh, it's Soundwave, not Soundcloud! Ha, sorry about that," you chuckle nervously, hoping for a reaction from him. He just stared at you silently. "Anyways, like I said before, this ship's kind of big and I have NO idea where I am supposed to go or where anything is. Can you help me?" you asked, shrugging your wing plates a bit. He continued to stare at you, then turned back towards the computer. You felt your spark skip a beat for a moment, thinking he was just going to ignore your pleas and continue with his work.

"Okay," an audio recording played from his visor. You vented in relief.

      "Great!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You started a walk down a long hallway, periodically stopping at places Soundwave felt were important to point out. They wouldn't be long pauses; he would just point, play an audio recording with whatever the room was called, and leave. You learned a lot, like where energon storage was, control rooms, and even where the spare oil showers were (in case of emergency). Finally, you both made your way to the quarters section.

"Here," he pointed towards a vacant room. You were excited to see the inside. He plugged in some random numbers and quickly grabbed your servo. You gasped out of shock. He took your hand unit placed it on a scanner. The scanner made a weird noise, then beeped.

"Scan hand unit in order to gain access. Room number 587." With that, he turned around and started walking away. You wanted to thank him and maybe invite him inside for a few minutes, since you did just walk around the entire perimeter of the ship, but you were really eager to see how the inside of your new place looked like.

Cautiously, you opened up the door using your hand unit. It was. . . so bleak. You were disappointed, your dermas turning inward. On one side of the room, there was a whole bathroom set, with an oil shower and everything. In the middle, there was a berth. And at the other end, a quaint looking living room setup. The living room set up reminded you of your old sector. You started to feel really sad, thinking about how much you truly lost during this war. But there was nothing you could do about it. The past is gone, and the future is yet to come. If you play your cards right, maybe your future won't be so bad after all. After taking in the bland view, you decided to see how comfortable your new berth was going to be. You jumped into it and it was very mediocre.

'What is it with everything in this ship sucking?' You checked your I.T.S, and to your dismay it was only 7 p.m. Way too early to go into recharge, but not early enough to go collect energon supplement. You've already seen the most important parts of the ship, so you figured you would go to the parts you didn't visit yet. Maybe even check out the flight deck. You got up and made your way towards the door.

"____! Where did you go?! I was supposed to be the one to tour you around, so why did you go off and wonder?! It's your first day here, and you already disobeyed a higher officer!" you were startled at the sudden surprise that greeted you. It was just Starscream reprimanding you about being curious.

"I apologize for doing that. I just didn't know when you would return and figured wandering off wouldn't hurt."

"Well next time your given an order to stay put. . . FOLLOW IT!" you turned your helm real quick to roll your optics. In your defense, he never ordered you to stay put. In fact, he never said anything about it.

"Well, since you found and got into your quarters, I'm guessing some other bot helped you out. I guess I'll be on my way."

"Wait, before you go, is there a specific time for recharge and rising time?" You genuinely wanted to know; it would be weird being the last bot to wake up.

"Hmmm. . . I guess recharge time would be around 11, maybe later. And rising time is at 6- no 7." He left after that, and you set your internal alarm for 6:30. You were not going to be late for your first OFFICIAL day tommorrow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of the night went by easy. While you got lunch, you saw that Soundwave mech a bit. You couldn't help but be amazed at how tall and slender he was (you weren't the tallest femme around). It felt a bit weird to stare, but you didn't care. You finished up your energon a disposed of the empty container, then headed back to your berthroom. You passed by a lot of other vehicons who were heading for their quarters as well.

As you laid in your berth, you stared up at the empty ceiling just as you had done many MANY stellar cycles ago. Your tanks were filled with Cybertronian flying bugs as you thought of the many things that could go wrong tomorrow. You pushed down on your circuit, and everything slowly lost its color, leaving you in a bland world. Then, you went into a deep recharge.

     * When you opened your optics, you were in a battlefield. You didn't know where you were, who you were fighting, or even what was going on. You heard explosions and the distance, and people were yelling/screaming. You rushed over to see what the commotion was, and that's when it hit you. This was like the dream you had orbital cycles ago, when you were still in training. The one that kept you up some nights, wondering what it meant. Then you saw him, Roadturn, He was fighting, shooting at Autobots, dodging lasers being shot at him. You watched in amazement and love, remembering his sacrifice he made for you. You watched as he perfectly hit a target yards away. But suddenly you remembered what was going to happen next, in your dream he got shot and slowly died in your arms.

'Maybe I can change this!' You ran over to where he was. When he saw your frame running towards him, his optics widened, and a slight smile came across his dermas. Out of the corner of your optic, you saw the Autobot aim his gun for his spark chamber.

//BOOM!// You were too late, and Roadturn's frame fell towards the ground. You caught him in your servos, and held him close to your chassis, crying out his name.

"No. . .no no no Roadturn please stay with me! I can't lose you again!" You wept softly, and he gazed into your optics, using all his might to muster up a smile.

"Let. . .me go. I love you ____, I always will. Now, it's time for me to rest and join my fellow fallen soldiers with the AllSpark." You help up his hand unit and grasped it hard. Your last dream didn't last this long or feel this realistic. Lubricant tears fell down your faceplates and onto Roadturn. You closed your optics, and when you opened them, you were meet with a big surprise. Right where Roadturn was not long before, now laid a limp Soundwave, still grasping onto your hand unit. You dropped him from your hold, and now it was back to Roadturn. Quickly, the world started fading and you were in your own secluded space. The word "Stuck" was written on the walls surrounding you, and just as it did many stellar cycles ago, a bot's voice boomed through the rooms.

      "Soon." *

      *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

Your alarm rang, searching for somebot to put it out of its misery.

'Here we go again. . .'
