~Weird Femme~

"Why hello there? I saw you today at the morning brief, and I hadn't gotten the chance to ask for your designation," said a femme. You looked up and met the gaze of a femme. She had bright pink optics and weird spider legs coming out of her back. She spoke in a friendly tone, but you could see through that facade.

"I'm ____, a new medic aboard this vessel."

"Greetings ____, I'm Airachnid. I've got to say it will be a lot nicer having a femme onboard this ship now. Maybe sometime we can have a nice little. . . chat," she responded. Well, that wasn't unsettling in the least.

"Maybe. But I-I have to go for now, I told Knock Out I wouldn't be gone for long sooo. . ." you made up an excuse. This femme was VERY alarming, and something in your processor told you not to take her up on her request. Well at least not now, maybe another day in the future. That is if you learn to trust her a bit.

You swiftly walk away from her, gradually speeding up with each pedstep you took.

"Isn't the med bay the other way?" you heard Airachnid shout out in the background, but you just ignored her. After getting a little bit lost, you were able to find your way to the washroom, with the help of a few vehicons. When you were inside, you wasted no time and hurried over to the mirror. You looked at your face plates and saw how tired you were.

'Welp, I guess this is my life now. . .' you thought quietly to yourself as you fixed your under-optics since they were a bit dark. You used the spare cover up palette. As you applied it on, you started to think about how bots like Knock Out can look so new after all these years. It was only your first day and you looked like you emerged from the pits. Even in your training camp you looked more energetic. What happened to you? Was it stress? Grief? Loneliness? Or did this just simply happen because of your growing age? That was up to you to decide.

You kept your word about taking a "quick" break and left after you felt re-energized. On your way back, you passed by what you considered the main control room. You called it the main one because it was the biggest one. Seeing this control room meant that you were definitely going the wrong way, but you continued to head in that direction because you had somewhat of an ego and didn't want to get embarrassed by having to turn around and walk the other way. The door opened right before you and a few vehicons popped out. You looked inside and saw Soundwave working as usual. You've never seen a bot so focused on his job. It almost felt that every single digit he typed was carefully planned out ahead of time, and he worked with such diligence. You stopped in your tracks for a split nano-klik to admire his work ethic, until he started to turn around to look at another computer. The door was still opened, so you panicked and started walking forward again, narrowly missing the wall in front of you.

'Oh, frag I really hope he didn't see that. Since when was this wall even here?' you thought as you continued on with your processorless wandering. You considered asking Soundwave for help when you had the chance, but after almost walking into a wall you decided not to. You finally made your way back after Primus knows how long.

"I thought you said you were going to 'be back in a bit.' Did you take a quick recharge or what?" Knock Out asked as you stepped inside.

"No sadly not. I just got lost on the way back, went in the wrong direction. I'll learn these halls eventually." You shrugged and got back to work doing something medical related.

Finally, the workday came to an end (hopefully, as long as there wasn't a sudden emergency) and you were able to get nightly energon supply. These rations here were a bit smaller, assuming since there was a lot more members onboard this vessel than your old one. As you sat down to enjoy your meal you couldn't help but feel a bit sad, thinking about how you spent all those vorns with Roadturn drinking and talking. Now you were here, alone. You quickly finished up and headed for your quarters. The halls were dark and empty.

      You felt truly alone.

Thankfully, in no time you made it to your quarters. As soon as you opened up the door, you dashed to your berth. You practically jumped onto it and vented deeply. You were so overjoyed to be able to lay down. Sadly, that moment was quickly ruined as you realized that you left the door opened and you had to take an oil shower to remove the parts left from the cover up palette.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that everything was good, and you were secure inside your quarters you got under the covers of your berth. It was a feeling like no other. Pure happiness rushed over you, and you couldn't help but let out a small little giggle of excitement. You wanted to feel like this every day. Just happy and calm, like how you felt before the war. You tried to remember what life had been like many vorns ago, when you were still a young bot in society. How schooling had been like, and the numerous amounts of fun times you spent with the bots you considered your friends. But most importantly, you tried to remember how the sky looked at rising time. The blue was only able to be so vibrant because of the help of a star. The way the light glistened gently on all the building around it. The way the air felt light. You felt like you were there just yesterday, enjoying your youth. But now, in the blink of an optic, you found yourself yet again stranded on a distant plant that was the exact opposite of your home.

'I wonder how rising time looks here. Is the sky as bright and vibrant?' You slowly closed your optics, entrapping you in a deep recharge. And for just a night, your world finally felt at peace. Until the dreading sound of beeping had to reign tyranny on your life.
