I just wanted to say how incredibly grateful I am for the kindness of people here. Reading my story, sharing your joy, ideas, thought and feelings about my writing. Even just reading and taking the time to go through what is quite a long story. It truly means the world to me.
I've loved to create stories since before I could read and write. Making up stories lying in bed at night with my toys around and drawing picture stories that I told my kindergarten teacher about. Then life happens and I forgot how much I loved to write. I forgot how much taking people to other places excites me and brings me joy.
Then along comes Charlotte with The Nursery Nurse and while I was going through my own struggles I wanted to write something that expressed my thoughts and feelings in a way that involved Charlotte's amazing characters she has created.
Using The Nursery Nurse characters to explore my writing style, character perspectives, points of view and themes has really been such a gift. I hope I am doing the characters some justice, because I truly love them.
Hopefully in the next little while I can explore some original stories and characters some more. I had started to on here, but life stuff was happening and I had to take it down in order to gain some perspective.
In the meantime, thank you for being on this dramatic ride with me and our favourite fictional famalam.
I should have the next chapter titled 'Michael' in the next 12 hours, just have work and kids to organise.
