Love in Milan
Eira's pov
Milan is wonderful. It's everything I imagined and more. I looked around amazed out of the window of the car. Our plane just landed in Milan and a town car was waiting for us. Our ride to our hotel is amazing. I am even afraid to blink my eyes, I don't want to miss even a tiny bit of this city.
I still can't believe I'm here. In Milan. For fashion week.
This was even my first time out of country. I was amazed, nervous, excited and much more. I felt like I was out of this world. I gasped when the car glided past beautiful buildings with architecture centuries old. This place is truly inspiring.
"You will catch flies in your mouth" Jasper teased, his voice pulling me back from the awe I was lost in.
"Shut up," I muttered, nudging him gently with my elbow. But I couldn't help the smile tugging at my lips. It felt as if I was living my dream. An architect's paradise. It is architectural masterpiece. This city is extraordinarily beautiful.
I glanced over at Jasper, who was watching me with an amused smile. "You look like a kid seeing Disney World for the first time," he chuckled.
"Well, can you blame me?" I replied, unable to stop myself from looking back out the window. The streets were bustling, people walking briskly, stylishly, and with purpose. Every building we passed felt like a work of art. "This place is unreal. Looking at this place I feel even more motivated to go to architecture school."
"And I am sure you would get into one" he pulled my hand into his, locking our fingers together.
"I hope you're right," I murmured, though a small part of me still felt like this dream was too big, too far away.
"I know I'm right," Jasper said, his voice steady, reassuring. "You're passionate, talented, and you've got a good eye. There's no way they'd turn you down. Your application was banger. There is not way they would let you go. They'd be fool to do so."
I squeezed his hand, feeling a surge of warmth and appreciation for him. The car slowed down as we approached our hotel, a stunning building with tall glass windows and intricate ironwork on the balconies. I leaned forward to get a better look. "Wow," I breathed, taking it all in. "This place is incredible."
Jasper grinned. "Only the best for you, Eira."
I rolled my eyes playfully. "You're really spoiling me, you know."
He chuckled, his hand still holding mine. "You deserve it."
The car stopped, and before I knew it, hotel staff were opening the doors, helping us out, and grabbing our bags. I felt a little out of place for a moment, like I didn't quite belong in such a luxurious setting. But Jasper didn't seem fazed at all. However my attention wasn't on Jasper but on the building in front of me.
We stepped into the lobby and in front of us was a wide space housing a reception desk and lounge. I could see a bakery at the farther end of the lounge. The lobby itself was a blend of modern elegance and classic charm, with sleek marble floors, plush seating areas, and large glass chandeliers that sparkled above us.
As we approached the reception, I could hardly focus on the check-in process. I was too busy imagining myself wandering the streets of Milan.
"Miss Eira Storm and Mr. Jasper Sinclair, welcome to Hotel Bellissimo," the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile. Her accent was thick, but the enthusiasm in her voice was clear. "We have your suite ready. I hope you enjoy your stay."
