Chan is infamous among the fans and members for being clingy with the others.

He can't help it- after years of being left behind, he has to frequently remind himself that he is here, surrounded by people who love him unconditionally. And the easiest way to do that is to hug the person closest to him. 

He isn't as cuddly as Felix, but he is really damn near close. 

It's somewhat of a joke, at least for the other members. 

For Chan, it's a grounding technique, one he can't help but use. 

Generally, he isn't too clingy in public, preferring to walk behind the others, to ensure that they are all there and that none of them are attempting to live up to their group name.

Not to mention that most of the members will never admit to actually cuddling with him on a regular basis- Hyunjin, Minho, and Seungmin being among the biggest deniers.

He sighs, picking at a stray thread on his sweatpants.

He should be focusing on the run through, instead of contemplating why the others don't want to be seen showing affection to him in public. 

It really isn't that big of a deal.

He is just blowing everything up in his mind.

"Hyung!"

He flinches slightly, startling at the sudden noise.

Hyunjin is standing in front of him, grinning widely.

"We're done with our run through, right?"

Chan nods distractedly.

"Um, yeah. We are."

"Can we go get boba then? Please?" 

Chan smiles, standing, brushing off his sweats.

"Sure. I'll pay."

Hyunjin grins even wider at that, pulling him out of the door.

"Somehow I had a feeling you would say that."

They are making their way down the sidewalk, casually conversing, when he catches sight of it out of the corner of his eye.

Two people, though at first glance casually shopping, are looking over at Hyunjin, one of them eyeing him up and down in a manner that Chan won't stand for.

He changes places with Hyunjin, swinging around the younger so that he is closer to the people.

Intertwining his hands with the dancer's, he grabs Hyunjin's arm with his other hand, keeping an eye out for the couple's reactions.
