This will be similar to the first one at first. Please bear with me.

angst, sickfic, hurtfic, fluff

The hospital waiting room is still, silent, tension thick in the air.

At least it's a private one.

Minho supposes they probably weren't too keen on seven idols crying in the actual lobby.

Everyone is lost in their own thoughts, eager for Hannah to arrive.

If hell exists, this must be it, Minho muses, one hand tracing circles on Changbin's back, his other in Hyunjin's grasp.

Changbin straightens suddenly, knocking Minho's hand off his back. The rapper's eyes are puffy, red, his face drawn and tight and tear stained. Although Minho supposes he doesn't look any better at the moment.

"Hong Joong."

"What, Binnie-ah?"

"Chan-hyung, he- him and Hong Joong were going to meet about maybe doing a collab. Can we...call him?"

"Of course, Binnie."

Minho is taken aback by the rapper's request, that he still has the mental capacity to remember details like that.

"Can we see if he can come here? And BamBam?"

Felix's voice is hoarse, his eyes bright as he meets the manager's gaze.

"Of course. As long as Hannah's alright with it, and their staff agrees. And neither of them ignores their phone. It is late."

Felix nods, then he seems to...collapse inward, his head falling toward his chest. Seungmin pulls him close, gently carding his fingers through the Aussie's hair, carefully, gently, undoing the snarls that caught.

Minho wants to comfort the others, assure them that everything will be alright, that it all will work out. But there are so many unknown factors- he can't afford to give them false hope. Hell, he can't afford to give himself false hope. For now, all he can do is hold Changbin and Hyunjin close as the rapper falls apart.

He isn't sure how much time passes. It could be seconds, minutes, hours, who knows, maybe even months. He must doze off by some unknown miracle, because the next time he looks up, Hannah is there, pale faced and shaking.

That's right.

She had originally come to Korea to surprise Chan, to congratulate him on their recent win. From the looks of it, she was in the process of organising the surprise party for him when she got the call, a call no sibling, or loved one, or anyone for that matter, should ever have to get.

At least she was in the country. Small blessings.

Maybe Minho is more religious than he originally thought, because that seems like a miracle, a flux of fate.

He meets Hannah's gaze, and she forces a smile, more of a grimace, truth be told.

Someone is rubbing his back, he realises, tracing lines and shapes of no particular figure. He slowly straightens, startling at the figure next to him. The elder offers a small smile, strained and sympathetic, eyes bright. He's not pitying Minho, no.
