TW: vomit, cursing
fluffy sickfic
My cousin gave the entire family the flu for Christmas- so thoughtful of her -_-
Chan groans the moment his alarm goes off in his ear.
The last thing he wants to do is "get up and seize the day", as Seungmin likes to say.
No, what he wants to do is turn over, pull his pillow over his head, and try smothering himself to sleep. Maybe it would help with the headache he woke up with, or the feeling that his brain is full of cotton.
He shouldn't have stayed so late at the studio these past few nights, especially with the heating acting up. But he really did have to finish those tracks if he had any hope of having a break with the rest of the members.
Not that it really matters, anyway.
It's not like he can exactly go to Australia, go home over his break.
He really only has himself to blame for that, though. Yes, his schedule was packed, but not so packed that he couldn't have set at least some time aside to search for tickets home. By the time he had actually gotten around to it, there was nothing to be found.
But he can at least see Jeongin off, and BamBam invited him over for the week the moment he had heard of Chan's plight, insisting that the leader would not be left alone to his own devices for the next week. Chan blames either Jung Kook or Dongmin for that one. The moment the two had managed to pry the information out of him, they had refused to leave him be, persuading him to "actually get out and come have some fun, like old times".
With the way he's feeling now, Chan isn't so sure that taking BamBam up on that offer is the smartest thing to do.
But he can't afford to let the Thai idol down. His hyung really has been so excited about it, prattling on and on about how they can have a '97 liners get-together, and they'll be able to catch up on everything.
He sighs, forcing any and all thoughts of said party from his mind, instead focusing on a more important task- getting himself coffee and making sure that Jeongin has everything packed. The maknae is infamous for his last minute packing extravaganzas, which often result in interesting (and horrible) outfit combinations.
The walk to the dorm's kitchen proves to be long and miserable, and Chan realises that he may have underestimated how badly he felt when he woke up, having to pause every few steps to steady himself.
When he does finally make it to the kitchen, he has to blink several times, trying to convince his eyes that the light isn't trying its' level best to kill him.
"Good morning to you too, hyung."
Someone wraps their arms around him, and he sighs, practically sagging against the maknae, mumbling something unintelligible into his chest.
"Woah, hyung, are you feeling okay?"
Jeongin pulls away, worriedly scanning his face, brushing the hair out of his eyes while trying to subtley gauge his temperature.
Chan forces a smile, cursing his body for choosing now of all times to give out on him.
"Yeah...I think I'm just tired."
