His hands won't stop trembling. 

He sighs, trying to quell the storm of anxiety and nerves within him as he scans the papers from the hospital once more. 

He should have known that it wasn't just stress that was draining him so badly. 

His eyes land on the damning line. 

Increased risk for cardiovascular  disease and failure. 

He swallows, fighting back the tears as he stands suddenly, pulling open his desk drawer with more force than is honestly probably necessary, shoving the papers inside, pushing them to the far back, where he doesn't have to face them, can pretend that everything is fine for a little while longer. 

He should talk to the managers, should tell them just in case... 

He's overthinking it. 

It'll be fine. 

Nothing will come of this. 

It's just his anxiety, trying to frighten him again. 

He shakes his head, gritting his teeth and clenching his hands before falling backwards onto his bed. 

Minho had taken one look at him when he stumbled through the door, still partially reeling in shock from the news from the doctor, and put his foot down, insisting that Chan lay down, at least for a little while.  

He can do that much, at least. 

Rolling over, he buries his face in his pillow, trying to will away the news. 

Increased chance for cardiovascular disease. 

He doesn't want to think about it. 

He doesn't want to face it. 

He can't. 

He is the group's leader, the strong one, the constant amid the chaos of everyday idol life. 

How can he manage this on top of his schedule? 

His doctor advised him to take a break, maybe even a hiatus, but that's out of the question. 

It is comeback season. 

He can't go on hiatus simply because he can't take care of himself well enough.
