Chan has missed this, the simple flow of everyday life. 

For once he isn't running everywhere all at once, trying to accomplish too many tasks all at one time. 

He is allowed to focus on himself, something he never dared to do since... moving to Korea, truth be told. 

It's... odd. Different. 

He expected to feel a sort of hollowness, expected to not know what to do with himself. 

Instead, he is more motivated than ever, setting an actually reasonable schedule for himself, making sure to leave plenty of time for the others, as per Dongmin and BamBam's request. 

At first, he had protested, not seeing the need, then relented when Vernon had threatened to start a petition among the idol community.

He has been scolded by multiple other idols enough to last a lifetime, thank you very much. 

Being told off by Jung Kook is one thing, but being scolded by Nam Joon is another entirely. 

He has only had that happen once, and doesn't care to repeat the experience. 

The days blur by, and before he knows it, he is ready to return to work, having had enough of his free time. 

It wasn't enough to visit Australia, visit home, yet it was too much to simply use to move in and get settled into life alone, living without someone else in the apartment at all times. 

At first it was too silent, too still. 

Now, he loves it. 

But still, it had only taken him a few days to adjust, and all too soon, he found himself going stir crazy. 

So, he did what he reasons anyone would have done in his stead. 

He worked. 

It didn't feel like work at all, the motivation he had lost once flowing back to him in the peacefulness and solitude of his room, and he had managed to finish the collaboration track sooner than either he or the producers he is working with expected. 

He just sent out that track. 

He breathes a quiet prayer that they like it, that it fits the vibe they chose well enough. 

It is his first day back at work, officially speaking. 

He still isn't taking part in group activities- they all had agreed that it's only fair that he focus on his solos for a while, the tracks he wrote before going on hiatus are more than enough to keep the group afloat until he comes back. 

Chan doesn't know when that will happen, if ever. 

He knows that theories are spreading like wildfire, that the news of him taking a break from working with the group as a team is trending worldwide, has been for days now, ever since the agency released their statement.
