Battling in the Freezing Raid!

" Do I need to use teamwork if I want to get into Project Mew?"

Everyone stared at him.

" I think you can answer that for yourself."

Suddenly, Quillen exclaimed, " You're not alone! Quick, hide!"

The four obeyed and ran behind an ice wall. Ash grabbed Gary's phone. " Do you know who it is?"

Quillen shook his head.

" You four, listen in and stop them if they're doing anything bad. If not, then help them with whatever they need." Danika said.

Ash nodded. " Will do."

He signed off and handed the phone back to Gary. " Thanks!"

Gary snatched the phone and stuffed it in his pocket. " You'll never change."

They heard footsteps approaching. " Everyone, quiet!" Horace hissed.

The other three nodded.

" Altaria, now! Use wind gust!"

A blue bird with a cloud body flapped its wings.

" Good! Leafeon, now! Use vine whip!"

The evolved form of Eevee used vine whip to break a chuck of ice. The person, a young girl wearing pink and a straw hat bent forward and picked it up. She held it into the light. " Professor, I got the ice piece."

" To do what?" Ash muttered.

" Ash!" Gary hissed.

They could hear gurgling. " Professor? Are you okay?"

No reply.

The girl shook her phone. " Is there something wrong? Uh..... Jo-"

" Nothing's happened, sweetie. The Professor is just brushing his teeth."

The girl groaned. " Seriously?!"

" Oh, wait he's back. Gotta go! Love you sweetie!"

" Love you, mom."

There was a faint rustling sound on the other end.

" Sorry, what did you say?" 

The girl groaned again. " Professor, I got the ice."

" Good. Now you just need to find Articuno's feather."

The girl sighed. " Yes, professor."

" Oh, and while you're at it, could you please find my grandson?"

There was a short duration of silence before the person spoke. " YOU WANT ME TO FIND YOUR GRANDON?!" They exclaimed. " I CAN'T EVEN FIND MYSELF AND YOU WANT ME TO FIND GARY?!"

The person on the phone sighed. " It's too early for this."

" TOO EARLY?!" The person yelled. " YOU REALIZE I'M STILL ON KANTO REIGON TIMING, RIGHT?!"

Then she sighed. " Actually I'm surprised Gary and Ash aren't falling asleep."

" Why would you say that?"

The person chuckled. " Welp, I remember every time the boys would have a sleepover, I would have to jump on them just to wake them up." She let out a nostalgic laugh. " Ah, but those times are over. Gary and Ash are rivals, they're who knows where, and- SPRIGATITO DON'T YOU DARE EAT THAT!"

Ash's brow furrowed. " Wait.... that voice....."

He inched his way out of the ice wall. " What are you doing?" Goh hissed. " Get back here!"
