" Eevee, return!" Gary called.

His Eevee went back into its poke ball, and Ash stood up.

Suddenly, there was a streak of brown, followed by a young girl with Raven colored hair.

" Eevee, stop!" The girl yelled as she jumped over a rock. " Gary just needs to pull it out! It's not a big deal!"

" Eevee Eevee!"

The girl reached a hand out, but before she could do anything, she tripped over a small rock and went tumbling down the hill.

Gary gasped and threw his Arkinine ball. " Go Arkinine! Now block!"

The large Pokemon blocked the girl just as she was about to roll off another cliff

The girl spit leaves out of her mouth and sighed. " Thanks, Arkinine."

She stood up and stretched. " She's getting fast." She said as she put her hands on her hips and leaned back

" Wisty?!"

The girl turned to Ash. " Oh hi Ash. Fancy seeing you here."

" Wisty, this is the professors lab! What did you think I would be doing here?!*

Wisty shrugged. " I dunno."

Then she threw a Poke Ball. " Altaria, I choose you!"

The bird came out and let out a screech.

" Cumulo, I need you to try and track Eevee."

Altaria cocked her head.

Wisty dropped to her knees and hands. " Like this."

She crawled on the ground, but with one hand up

" Altaria?"

Wisty nodded. " Yep. Shouldn't be too hard to overlook her. She has a thorn in her paw, the poor thing. So could you find her?"

" Altaria!"

Wisty nodded. " Good."

As she watched her bird go off, Gary and Ash and Tracey and Oak walked up behind her

" What was that all about?" Ash asked.

" Nothing." Wisty replied.

Gary raised a brow. " We can all tell it wasn't nothing."

Wisty shrugged. " Why does it matter. Go on now. Off to whatever you were gonna do."

She started to go off, but Ash grabbed her hand. " Wisty, what is going on?! First Eevee comes running and you chasing her. Then you send Altaria after her after telling your bird it has a thorn in its paw! Now you're saying it's nothing!? Could you please choose something and stick with it?!"

Wisty sighed. " Fine."

Suddenly, Altaria came zooming back to Wisty, knocking her in the ground. Altaria huddled close to Wisty, and she furrowed her brow.

" Cumulo? What happened?*

Cumulo looked up and wisty and showed her its feather.

Thorn.

Wisty gasped. " Oh, no!"

Gary knelt down beside Altaria, carefully inspecting the bird's paw. "Let me see," he said, reaching out to gently remove the thorn embedded in the soft pad.

Wisty held her breath as she watched Gary work. With a deft movement, he grasped the thorn between his fingers and pulled it out. Altaria let out a soft screech, but it quickly subsided as Gary offered her a soothing hand.

"There you go. All better," he said, smiling at the relieved Pokémon.

Wisty exhaled in relief and returned Altaria to her Poké Ball. She stood up, brushing the dirt off her knees. "Thanks, Gary. I appreciate it, but you guys need to stay here. This is my Pokémon and I'll handle it!"

Ash stepped forward, his expression determined. "Oh, you're not going anywhere without me!"

Wisty rolled her eyes, frustration bubbling up. "Ash, I appreciate your concern, but this is my responsibility. I need to find Eevee!" Without waiting for a response, she took off running, her heart racing as she dashed into the thick underbrush, the call of the wild echoing in her ears.

"Wisty, wait!" Ash shouted after her, but she was already too far ahead to hear.

As she pushed through the foliage, Wisty called out, "Eevee! Where are you?" The only answer was the rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of wild Pokémon. Panic began to creep in; what if she couldn't find her?

Suddenly, she spotted a flash of brown out of the corner of her eye. Wisty turned, her heart leaping with hope, only to find herself face to face with a jittery Glaceon, its ice-blue fur shimmering in the dappled sunlight.

"Eevee?" she gasped, kneeling down slowly, not wanting to frighten the Pokémon. "Is that you?"

The Glaceon looked at her with wide, anxious eyes, trembling slightly. Wisty recognized it instantly; this wasn't just any Glaceon-it was Eevee, transformed and panicking. She reached out her hand cautiously. "It's okay, Eevee. I'm here. You don't need to be scared."

Eevee seemed to hesitate, but as Wisty's gentle voice washed over her, she took a tentative step forward. Wisty's heart swelled with determination. "Come on, girl. Let's get you back home where you belong."

Eevee's form flickered, and in an instant, she shifted back into her original form, hopping toward Wisty with a whimper.

"There you are!" Wisty said, relief flooding through her. "What happened? Why did you run off?"

Eevee nuzzled against her leg, still jittery but comforted by Wisty's presence. "You've got a thorn in your paw, don't you?" Wisty murmured, recalling Gary's earlier words. "Let's see if we can find that thorn again and get you fixed up."

As Wisty crouched down to examine Eevee's paw, she heard footsteps approaching. It was Ash, Gary, and Tracey, all looking a bit out of breath.

"Wisty! We were worried!" Ash exclaimed, scanning the area. "Did you find her?"

"Yeah, I found her," Wisty replied, carefully inspecting Eevee's paw. "But we need to get the thorn out again. Gary helped Altaria, so I think he should help Eevee too."

Gary nodded, kneeling down again beside them. "Let's take a look."

Eevee looked up at Gary, her eyes wide and trusting as he gently grasped her paw. "You're gonna be alright, buddy," he said softly, carefully working to locate the thorn. After a moment, he found it and removed it swiftly.

"There we go! All done!" he said, smiling as he released Eevee's paw. "You're all good now."

Wisty's heart soared with gratitude. "Thanks, Gary," she said, her eyes shining. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Eevee, now back to her cheerful self, jumped up happily, nuzzling against Wisty's leg again.

"Now that we're all together again, how about we head back?" Tracey suggested. "The professor is probably wondering where we all are."

"Right," Wisty agreed, standing up. "Let's get back to the lab and make sure everyone's okay."

As they walked back together, Ash grinned at Wisty. "You really care about your Pokémon, don't you?"

Wisty nodded, a soft smile playing on her lips as she looked down at Eevee. "Of course. They're my friends. Just like you guys."

" Eevee eevee!"
