" Agh! Come on! What is WITH this guy?!"

" Oh, well, he always used to act this way with me. By the way, what was the goal you were talking about?"

" A legenda-"

Before he could finish, an Altaria dropped a girl with a pink dress and blue shoes onto Gary, tackling him onto the ground.

" HE'S HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!"

Gary winced slightly. " Wisty, you're gonna make me deaf one day or ano- WOAH!"  he yelped as Wisty, with suprising strength for her young age, grabbed Gary by the hand and started to spin.

Well, Wisty's feet stayed on the ground. Gary's?

Not so much.

Well, not at all.

In fact, HIS feet were in the air like a ragdoll's, and he yelped everytime Wisty swung him.

" WISTY YOU'RE GONNA KILL HIM!" Ash yelled.

Wisty stopped.

But before she did, she swung Gary into a high tree. With a yelp, he went from the ground to soaring in the air to being stuck in a tree.

Ash ran to the trunk. " Are you okay?" He called.

Gary groaned from his new position, tangled in the branches of the high tree. His legs dangled awkwardly, and his arms were caught in an uncomfortable twist. "I've been better..." he muttered, trying to free himself but only managing to make the situation worse. "Why does this always happen to me?"

Ash stood at the base of the tree, looking up at his unfortunate friend. "How does Wisty always manage to do this?" he asked, half amazed, half exasperated.

"WISTY!" Gary shouted down. "You could've just said 'hi' like a normal person!"

Wisty, standing nearby with a satisfied grin, shrugged her shoulders innocently. "But where's the fun in that, Gary?" She clasped her hands behind her back, rocking on her heels like nothing out of the ordinary had just happened.

Ash shook his head and muttered, "Why do I feel like every time you two meet, I  have to clean up the mess?"

"That's because you do!" Gary called down, still trying to unstick himself from the branches. "And I'm the one always in the mess!"

"Don't be such a baby," Wisty teased, putting her hands on her hips. "You're fine!"

"Fine?! You tossed me into a tree!"

"Yeah, but it was a fun ride, right?" Wisty winked, clearly enjoying herself.

Gary gave an exaggerated sigh from above. "Fun, right. Let's call it that."

Ash sighed and turned to Wisty, arms crossed. "You do realize we were in the middle of something important, right?"

Wisty gave him a curious look. "Important? You mean like Gary getting stuck in a tree?"

"No, Wisty," Ash said, clearly trying to stay calm. "We were talking about a Legendary Pokémon."

Wisty's eyes lit up. "Ohhh, that does sound important. What kind of Legendary Pokémon?" She tilted her head, genuinely interested now.

"Never mind that right now!" Gary shouted. "Can someone please get me down?!"

"Hang on, I've got this," Ash said as he grabbed a nearby vine and prepared to climb up.

"Maybe if I swing you again, I can knock him out of the tree," Wisty offered, looking like she was seriously considering it.

"NO!" both Ash and Gary yelled in unison.

Ash shook his head, mumbling, "We don't need another trip to the Pokémon Center."

Wisty laughed, clearly enjoying every minute of the chaos she'd caused. "You guys are no fun." She leaned against the tree, watching Ash attempt to help Gary down.

With a few careful tugs and some expert maneuvering (something Ash had become quite good at over the years), he finally managed to free Gary from the tree's clutches. Gary dropped down to the ground with a loud thud, lying there for a moment as he caught his breath.

"I swear," Gary said, still staring at the sky, "if I ever have to go through that again..."

"You'll be fine!" Wisty said with a wave of her hand. "Besides, you needed the exercise."

Gary sat up, glaring at her. "Exercise?! You flung me into the air like a stuffed doll!"

"Hey," Wisty said, winking, "I was just helping you get your feet off the ground."

Ash couldn't help but chuckle. As frustrating as Wisty could be, it was always entertaining when she was around.
