* Killian's POV *

Emma was asleep in my arms once more, but I had to keep reminding myself that she was safe. I had a feeling I wouldn't be sleeping the next few nights, too full of anxiety. She's safe, I told myself. Right here, safe in my arms.

It had been torture seeing her like that. The image now haunted my mind- my Swan, covered in dirt and with an expression I'd never forget. She hid the fear deep in her eyes, being strong like always. Once Blackbeard was taken care of, she lit up and ran into my arms. I hadn't let go since.

I'm about to be a father, as well. I mean, wow. What if I was terrible, though? What if the child hated me? I spent the rest of the night simply watching my love sleep, drowning in insecurities.

*Emma's POV *

Carriages were set up for two people to face each other, one against each wall. But Killian and I pushed that limit on the way to the summer palace, since I was still stuck to him like glue. He wasn't complaining, but we pushed a lot of boundaries.

Henry would be coming in two weeks to celebrate his birthday, though he didn't know about the ball we were planning. I wanted him to have every experience here that he could before we went back to Storybrooke. If we went back to Storybrooke.

A doctor was waiting for us when we arrived at the Summer Palace, ready to tell us what he could about our baby without all the modern equipment. He said everything looked good, despite my time as a captive, and he'd be back in a few weeks to check on us again.

"When do you think we'll all go home?" I asked at dinner one night, unable to keep the question inside any longer. "Back to Storybrooke, I mean."

"Oh," Killian sounded surprised. "I'm not sure, love. Many people see this as home, so I'm not really sure." I nodded, looking down at my plate. He was suddenly right next to me, crouched down with his hand on mine. "What is it?"

"I don't know," I shrugged, but then let down my walls as he stared intently at me, knowing I was lying. "I don't know how to be royalty, but that's what I am here. What do I do with all my time... and honestly, how do you even have a baby here? It's so different, I'm just very... unsure of myself, I guess..."

"Oh, Emma," he smiled a little, kissing my hand. "No one knows how to have a baby, no matter how many times they've done it, or in what realm. Besides, an expectant mother going through a portal? Not a good plan. And as for time management," he smirked up at me, making me giggle. "I have a few ideas."

We eventually decided to ask everyone at Henry's birthday ball what they wanted. Killian was right, though, I couldn't go through the portal while I was pregnant. We could either stay here until the baby came, or indefinitely, it was up to the people.

Our time at the Summer Palace was absolutely perfect. We stayed together constantly, just happy to be together again.

*Killian's POV *

I could feel my lack of sleep catching up to me as we ventured back to Snow's palace. Emma was fast asleep and it was pitch black outside. that's when all hell broke loose.

Good? Yes? Still working but most of this chapter randomly deleted so I had to rewrite it...
