*Killian's POV *

I layed like that with Emma for over two weeks, refusing to leave her side. Henry visited when he could bear it, sitting on her other side and holding her free hand as he talked to her. Sometimes he'd just lay down and cuddle into her side like a toddler. Not that I could blame him, rarely moving my head from her chest or my arms from around her.

Her heart was getting stronger every day and color had slowly returned to her skin though she still didn't have that usual blush in her cheeks that told me she was alive. Regina even said that if she woke up, the baby would probably be alright too. When, I reminded myself yet again.

I was dozing off late one morning, my exhaustion catching up to me, when I suddenly felt delicate fingers running through the hair at the back of my neck. At first I didn't think anything of it, the familiar feeling making me sigh as I relaxed and it lulled me almost to sleep. Then I realized it- I shouldn't be feeling that. Not unless...

*Emma's POV *

My whole body ached when I woke up, squeezing my eyes shut before letting them flutter open. I looked down to find Killian laying on my chest and cuddled into me with his arms around me, one of mine around his neck.

I smiled a bit, playing with the hair at the back of his neck and letting my fingertips run up and down his neck. He sighed, tightening his hold on me as his body relaxed. Then suddenly his breath caught and he looked up, his whole face lighting up as he broke into the most breathtaking smile.

"Swan," he whispered almost as if he didn't believe it, tears quickly gathering in his eyes. "You woke up. You finally woke up."

"Yeah," I croaked, my hand still in his hair. "I guess I did, but are you okay? You look upset. What happened? How long was I asleep?"

"You don't remember?" He asked, confused. "Blackbeard almost killed you. You've been unconscious for almost three weeks. I..." he swallowed hard, looking down. "I thought I lost you... and our baby."

"Hey," I said softly, putting my other hand on his cheek and making him look at me. "I'm alright, I promise. And I'm assuming the baby is, too. Just... please come here."

I saw him break, leaning closer to me so I could press my lips to his gently. He hesitated a moment longer before kissing me softly, running his hand up to cup my cheek. Before I knew it my skin was set on fire as he kissed me more deeply, gripping his hair as his tounge claimed mine.

Any pain I'd had was quickly forgotten as he unbuttoned his shirt on me to run his hand over my skin, my body arching into his touch. I moaned softly at the same time he did, running my leg up so my inner thigh pressed to his waist. He ran his hand down my side to hold it there, rubbing my thigh gently as we kissed.

"Mmm," he groaned, clearly trying desperately to be gentle with me but struggling. "I missed you so much. I thought I'd never feel this again, or have you look at me with all that attitude again. I-I thought you were gone forever."

"It's going to take a lot more than some villain trying to kill me to keep me away from my pirate," I said as I kissed him again softly a few times, sucking gently on his bottom lip. "And besides, death can't stop true love. It can only delay it for a while."

I didn't know if it was my words or my eyes locked on his, or even my hands on him, but he just snapped. His lips were back on mine, making me moan again as we all but devoured each other. I needed him more than I could explain and I could tell he felt it too, making him growl lowly as I ground my hips against his looking for friction.

"Emma," he breathed, still kissing me. "I don't want to hurt you. I just got you back."

"Then we'll be gentle," I whispered breathlessly, kissing him again and again. "I need you, and I know you need me, too, so please. Please just take the pain away."
